Very delicious! My 7-year old said it was the best salmon that he ever had, and salmon is one of his favorite foods. I left out the peanut oil and used only about a tablespoon of olive oil instead. I followed the directions for the rest of the marinade. I also pan-fried it - seared it first then turned down the heat. Wonderful!

This was very good. I omitted the brown sugar because I wanted more savory than sweet. I used sesame oil and a drizzle of chili oil instead of peanut oil. I marinated about six hours.

Very good salmon, says my daughter. I baked and then broiled it, rather than grilling it, and cut down on the oil a considerable amount, but otherwise made as per the recipe. Thanks!

We liked this alot, and it only marinated like 1 1/2 hours! I can only imagine how good it will be when I try it next time after marinating it all day! I added a bit less ginger, but other then that didnt change a thing! Yummy! A keeper, as we say! Oh, yeah..I just used canola oil because I did nto have peanut oil.

This recipe is great! I didn't have all of the ingredients, so I made some modifications. I used cayenne pepper instead of red pepper flakes, and i used olive oil. I also didn't have ground ginger, so I used minced fresh ginger. Delicious!

I made this for my party. I marinated over night. I think I tripled the recipe, I had tons of salmon. I did not use the sesame oil did not have any and it still is great. I put it on the BBQ and it was perfect. I will use this all the time.

Our whole family thought this was the best salmon we've ever eaten. Used Norwegian salmon, marinated only 3 hours, but had great fullness of flavor. Served with a bok choy salad on the side. Delicious, light summer bbq. Followed the recipe exactly.

This is wonderful. I left out the peanut oil and accidentally added almost twice as much garlic as called for, but it still came out beautifully. The marinade is absolutely delicious reduced with 1/4 cup Merlot red wine in a frying pan for about 5 minutes and poured over the fish. I used fresh ginger instead of ground.

I marinated the salmon over night and it was amazing. The taste was great. The only ingredients I kept out were the oils.

VERY good, I didn't have time to marinade more than 1 1/2 hours and it still turned out awesome. I actually picked this receipe because I didn't have any cedar planks and I think I will just use this one from now on and skip the planks anyways.

not sure what's so slammin' about this. I let it marinade for 2 hrs and it really didn't have too much flavour. A little dissapointing but ok overall. I would make it again but perhaps add some lime juice & top with fresh cilantro.

I was disappointed with this marinade. It didn't taste bad, it just didn't have much flavor at all. Next time I will go with something more simple. I felt like this was a waste of ingredients.

Excellent. I scaled the marinade down for 2 fairly large Scottish salmon fillets. I used jarred chopped ginger instead of ground and baked at 350 for 15 - 20 minutes. My husband who is a fish hater as a rule said this was the best salmon he's ever eaten and he would have this again. Thanks so much Aytom.

Very good, but not that out-of-the- ordinary. I like Asian marinade of soy/fresh garlic/green onion/oil/fresh ginger, just as much, and uses less ingredients.

DH and I are not seafood fans, for health reasons we are attempting the salmon. Thankyou, Thank you, thank you. We both enjoyed these fillets, enough flavor to mask the fishy taste of salmon.
