This was simple and my whole family ate them, including my 3 children. Although, I can't tell you how it tasted because I am one of those people that do not like most vegetables. The recipe looked really good.

Eh, I thought they were just alright, I didn't find that they had enough flavor, so I added a bit more spice and was still a bit disappointed.

I am not a huge fan of green beans, but prepared this way, I can't get enough of them! I was asked numerous times as to when I would make them again! The second time I made them, I added a few cloves of garlic and that really added to the flavor. Thanks for the great recipe! Note: They are best when made with fresh green beans.

My kids 5, 12, 15) LOVED this dish as well as my husband who is not a fan of onions. I used about 1/2 the onions, just to be on the safe side and it was just enough flavor. Excellent! I will be making our green beans like this from now on! (except green bean casserole at the holidays :)

This recipe gave me a base of what I was really looking for...I added a few sprinkles of seasoned salt, about 1/2 tsp each garlic and onion powder and the finale was the few dashes of Worcestershire sauce that I added. Just before serving, I added a few crumbled croutons as a topping. I served this with tomato basil chicken tenders (sauteed or grilled) and some potatoes au gratin. Wow it was a hit with my picky 12 year old!!

Enjoyed. I used fresh beans which I blanched first and then set them in ice water. Even the kids smacked their lips

This dish was great, made boring old green beans tasty. I used fresh beans, quick cooked, and added some bacon and fresh mushrooms to the onions. Used plain greek yogourt instead of sour cream...better for you, exact same taste. Was wonderful, hubby loved it too. Will definately make again and again.

I was looking for a recipe to use up some frozen green beans I had, and I decided on this one. I used extra virgin olive oil instead of butter. This is just green beans and onions cooked together. I thought the cooked onions made the beans sort of sweet, and I didn't care for that. Maybe if there was a sauce or something, you wouldn't notice it. We didn't like the sour cream on top, either. I'd probably mix the sour cream in to let it heat up and form a sauce if I made this again.

Added fresh mushrooms. Was good but not outstanding. Maybe some thyme or rosemary would bring it up?

I sliced some mushrooms and added them and I must say this dish was by far the best I have tried on this site. The sour cream reall mixes well and makes the whole thing just taste that much better. Kudos. This is a MUST TRY recipe.

These are OK. It's hard to make green beans taste different without smothering them in some kind of cream soup.

These were just ok. They didn't really have a lot of flavor, but the sour cream made them taste much better. I never thought sour cream and green beans would go together, but it worked. I think next time, I'll add some bacon or something for more flavor.

Very good! I used fresh green beans, and just cooked them longer. The onions caramelized and we loved it!

I loved the flavor of these. However the sour cream didn't blend in for me, it kind of made little lumps on top. A do again but maybe without the sour cream.

I made this with fresh green beans but they turned out too crunchy. I'll use canned next time. I also chopped up 2 pieces of bacon and cooked them first then added onion then green beans. Very tasty!!

A handy little recipe to make up on short notice. I used fresh green beans opposed to canned or frozen. Next time I think I will add the bacon bits as suggested by another reviewer.

I enjoyed this recipe. I made it "amandine" by sauteing slivered almonds with the onion and butter. I also used canned green beans, but look forward to trying it with frozen. Thanks for a good recipe.

Outstanding green beans. I substituted fresh for frozen, used olive oil instead of margarine and added about a tablespoon of garlic. Just personal preferences. Would have been just as great without modifying.
