Skewered Shrimp
SUBMITTED BY:
Joan Morris

"Joan Morris combines four ingredients to create a ginger mixture that's used as both a marinade and a sauce for these barbecued shrimp. 'Serve them with toothpicks as an appetizer or stir the shrimp into pasta for an entree,' suggests the Lillian, Alabama cook."

I grilled these on a charcoal smoker. The recipe is a good base but lacks real flavor. Next time I will added minced garlic and onion and chopped fresh herbs while marinating.

MEGA good!!!! FULL of flavor!! We doubled the recipe - 2lbs of shrimp and doubled the sauce too. IT WAS DELICIOUS and soooooooo easy! My picky DH RAVED about it and said- without pausing (so unusual for him) it was a 5 star. He had no recommendations at all- totally unusual for him- so, in my book- that's HUGE! Thanks for sharing the recipe- it's soooooooo good and will be a standard at our house. We'll try it with scallops next. YUM!

This is a good basic recipe, and it does need more flavor. I should have added garlic as suggested by another reviwer.
