It's cold and wet out. I'm home alone and didn't want to work hard for dinner, but still wanted something good - this was it! It was perfect, delicious and easy. If I don't end up eating all the leftovers myself for lunch tomorrow my family can have it for dinner.

I really wanted to like this one. The only complaint that I have is that it is just too salty. I don't usually cook with salt, however, I am not on a salt restricted diet. It is a good recipe for some, however, if you don't care for salty food, you might better stay away from this recipe.

My family LOVES this, I did make a couple of tweeks: used rotisserie chicken as someone suggested & chicken stock instead of broth. Also added garlic powder, chili powder, bay leaf, cumin. Put dolloup of sour cream and mexican shredded cheese to serve and have crumbled up nacho chips available for topping (great use for bottom of the bag brocken chips). My son loves this so much this is what he requested for his bday dinner :-).

This is a fantastic throw together soup. I have made soups of other variations in the past with pre packaged ingredients. This soup is great as is but I added an eyeball (TS)of cumin, chili powder, 1 bay leaf and a palm full of fresh chopped oregano. Thanks for this great recipe!!!

This is so good and easy! I used 2 chicken breast cooked/shredded instead of canned chicken. Other than that just added in onion, garlic, cumin & chili powder. I love that the base is broth, it has less WW points than a cream soup. DELICIOUS!

I love this soup. So easy to prepare and tastes great. Like the other reviews said, it does allow you to play around with the ingredients. I omit the can of corn and instead use a can of hominy. It gives the soup a definate tortilla taste.

Really great recipe - I'm giving it five stars b/c it's so easy, otherwise I'd give it four. I did add cumin, cilantro, and garlic powder. I used fresh corn (all I had) and it gave it a nice crunch. Also used vegetable stock b/c it's what I had on hand and did add one can of cream of chicken soup. Very good!

AMAZING! Simple and delicious! I used 1 tbsp chili powder and garlic and pepper to taste. My boyfriend loved it and it had a kick but not too much for our 6 year old. Served with broken tortilla chips on top and cheese quesadillas to accompany. This is now a staple in our home! Thank you!!

So easy, delicious, and easily modified to our tastes-- added cumin and oregano, rinsed the beans to cut down on the murkiness of the soup, used frozen corn instead of canned. A great starting point!

This recipe was so easy and cheap too! I drained the beans like others had suggested and also used two cans of cream of chicken soup and one can of chicekn broth. I also cooked a cup of rice and added that to the soup which soaked up a lot of the liquid. I think next time I'll try two cans of chicken broth if I add the rice again. All in all, great recipe and will definitely make this again!!

This soup is fantastic. I did cut down on the sodium by using chicken breast and low sodium chicken broth. Also I added about a half of a package of low sodium taco seasoning. I served it with cheese, crushed tortilla chips and sour cream. My family and neighbors loved this.

This is really good for s super fast meal. I did use cream of chix soup instead of broth though (2 cans-1 low fat). had shredded cheese, sour cream, and tortilla chips for those who wanted them on top. Next time, I may add a can of green chilis or jalepenos for an added kick. All my kids liked it. :)

Ok so I'm updating my first review. I was not impressed with this soup originally, thought it was just OK. However, I left it to simmer on the stove for about 30 minutes and it was MUCH better. My husband, who doesn't like soup and doesn't care for Mexican food, LOVED IT. I used leftover roasted chicken and Ro-Tel lime and cilantro diced tomatoes with green chilies. This soup was VERY EASY and very healthy. Will be making this again.

This was very good and extremely easy. We will be having this often! I did as some suggested and used one 14 1/2 ounce can of chicken broth and 2 cans of cream of chicken soup ( no water added). I also rinsed the black beans. I served it with some homemade bread for a wonderful meal. This is a definite keeper. Thank you for the recipe!!

My husband loves this recipe and was shocked when I told him it was all out of a can. I followed the recipe, but doubled it and added some tortilla chips and mozzarella cheese on serving...very good!

I make a similar version of this by using my crockpot. I put three or four skinless chickent breasts in first, then can of chicken broth, jar of medium salsa, can of corn (drained), can of black beans (drained)and can of fat free refried beans. Sprinkle in some chili powder, cayenne pepper and cumin. Cook on low for 6 hours; pull chicken out and shredd and put back in for one more hour on low. Hearty and healthy. Freezes well too. Not six cans since I use fresh chicken, but close!

Super easy, everyone loves it. I like to add several spoonfuls of salsa con queso (nacho cheese dip in the jar), it gives it a kick and a nice color.

This was great! I used the other reviewers input too about 1 can broth and 1 can of cream of chicken soup. The looks on my family's faces (teenage boys) was priceless. They didn't even want to try it, but I pulled out the Tostitos and then there was nothing left.
