What a smart recipe! I didn't feel like cooking much last night but I wanted tortilla soup/pozole for a warm dinner. So I did this recipe more or less, one can broth, one can cream of chicken, corn black beans, stewed tomatoes, cumin, chili powder and a can of mote/hominy! It came out really good and was ready in 15 mins. I served with fried tortillas and dollop of sour cream. Que rico!

Very good and VERY easy. Followed other reviewers and used 1 can cream of chicken and 1 broth; would've been way too runny otherwise. Added a little cumin and chili powder. Put shredded mexi-cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and fritos on top. Will be making again. Husband loved it!

Delicious and very easy. This was a big hit with my family over the holidays. I think next time we'll try adding a can of hominy too.

I made this recipe and it was pretty good. I rinsed and added black beans. I also added garlic salt and about 1/4 cup of salsa. I put the tortillas on top and also added shredded cheddar.

Wonderful! I tried to cheat and use rotisserie chicken but deli was out so I cooked 3 breasts in skillet with favorite seasonings then added to rest of soup. It was a huge hit in my house and we are not big soup eaters

This is my favorite, easy soup recipe. You can customize it to suit your own tastes. I added fresh cilantro and a packet of taco seasoning. For toppings, try shredded cheddar & sour cream. Also, I baked tortillas and cut them into strips. Its a nice change from bagged tortilla chips.

This was really good, but I used real chicken cut up and the actual ingredient list and instructions don't say, but you need to put cheese and tortilla chips crunched up on top or it isn't the same. Also I used frozen corn instead of can. Great quick recipe that you can make your own with spices.

I love this recipe. I used both cans of chicken stock. I didn't have any black beans but I did have a can of chili beans. I added the can without draining it. The gravy added to the flavor and helped thicken the soup. I didn't have the tomatoes with green chilies so I added a plain can of tomatoes and then added a can of chopped green chilies. I also sauteed carrots, celery, onions and bell peppers before adding the rest of the ingredients. I'll make this again and again!

I just got done making this recipe at my parents' house, and I must say that it got quite the reception. I did note a few user suggestions and made a few of my own, though. For one I substituted a can of condensed cream of chicken soup for one of the cans of broth. Also, I added cumin, dried cilantro, and about 4 canned chipotle chiles (chopped) and some adobo sauce that they were packed with, it added a nice smokey flavor and a real good punch to the dish. I also used the canned corn that had some green/red chiles in it. I did drain the black beans, and I didnt completely drain the juice from the stewed tomatoes. Definitely will make this cheap, easy dish again.

This is a great recipe, however, add-ins are a must! Can't get any better than this for a weeknight dinner -cheap fast and easy! I also subbed cream of chicken soup for one of the cans of broth as well as a jar of fire-roasted salsa instead of the canned tomatoes. I used canned chicken because I had some on hand that needed to be used, but will definitely be using fresh next time. I added about a c. frozen diced onion, 1/4 c. finely chopped cilantro, 1.5 T. lime juice, 2 oz can diced green chiles, 3 cloves finely chopped garlic, and seasoned to taste with chili powder and cumin. Turned out great...my picky hubby said he would have eaten 5 bowls if he could've :) Thanks Terryn!

This is one of the best soup recipes EVER! I have taken this to potlucks, church soup suppers and family dinners and every time I make it people ask for the recipe. I do make it with the cream of chicken soup as many other people suggested as it seemed too "watered down" with just the broth. I also use frozen corn in place of the canned corn, boiled chicken breasts in place of canned chicken and I add chili powder and cumin to taste. This soup is even better then next day after the flavors have really blended.

This is sooo easy and good its crazy! You'll almost always have the ingredients in your pantry. I did substitute one can of broth for cream of chicken, but I like this kind of soup creamy. Thanks for the great recipe - a keeper!

I used bits of a whole roast chicken instead on canned chicken, added 2 frozen cubes of cilantro, a little tomato juice, powdered garlic, and cumin. Turned out really well!
