We added 1 chopped green pepper, 1 chopped jalapeno, 5 squirts of mustard, dash of turmeric, dash of celery seeds, some extra chili powder, and 1 extra can of tomatoes!

This was very good. I added a can of navy beans and some chopped green peppers. I also made it in the crock pot, though I don't think it made a big difference. I'd make it again, but next time I will scale back the water to 1 cup to make it thicker.

A great, easy recipe!!! The only changes I made were to add a whole onion and two green peppers. I also used an organic tomato sauce that had onions and green peppers already in it. I put the chili in a slow cooker for several hours and it was wonderful! Even better the next day!

This chili is phenomenal! The whole family loved it. I took the advice of other reviewers and used 1 can of mashed kidney beans and 1 can of rinsed whole beans. I also substituted green pepper tobasco for the cayenne since that's what I had on hand. Wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

So easy and good. I browned the turkey and onion and garlic like it said, then put everything in the slow cooker for a few hours. Great and so easy! Hardly requires any ingredients either

I made this for my boyfriend and myself for dinner last night. We loved it! He even said that it was better than his mom's chili (and trust me, her cooking is amazing). We will definitely be having this again!

this was delicious! i made a couple small changes: chili beans instead of kidney, diced tomatoes instead of crushed, and added 1 can of corn. i also added half a packet of taco seasoning to the ground turkey for extra flavor. turned out great and will DEFINITELY make again!

Delicious! I omitted the cayenne pepper for fear it'd be too spicy and it was great. Next time I'll add cayenne pepper. I served with cornbread and topped chili with cheese and sour cream. My husband turned up his nose at this when I told him it was made with ground turkey but after he tasted it he loved it and went back for seconds. Will make again and again!

This was my first attempt at chili, and it came out just beautifully! It was incredibly easy and SO tasty. I live in a dorm and many people came by trying to figure out what smelled so good! :) I added two chicken bouillon cubes to the water for some more flavor. I also added a can of corn and some extra-spicy chili powder. Jane's Krazy Mixed-up Salt is awesome with this recipe. I will be making this again soon!

I followed the recipe just like it said to do and was disappointed. All I could taste was spice. This might be ok w/ some alterations, like less chili powder.

So when we made this recipe we didn't have the 28 oz can of crushed tomato. Instead I used a 14 oz can of diced tomato, 8 oz can of tomato paste, chopped fresh green bell pepper, and 3 small mediumish tomatos. This gave the Chilli a fresh taste. It was sooo delicious! When we made this chilli the way the recipe states, we liked our way better! Goes great with honey cornbread :)

This was really good, and so easy to change it to your prefrenences. I loved the spice, and might add something else next time to give even more of a kick. We ate it three nights in row for dinner, and wasn't sick of it on the third day. Great recipe!

I tried this recipe and was very pleased with the results. I read the reviews and followed some of the suggestions and added some of my own, like using chicken broth, diced & stewed tomatoes, using a small jar of southwestern style salsa, chopped fresh jalapeno pepper, drained corn, and cinnamon. One downfall of my own doing was using dried kidney beans instead of canned which needed to be soaked overnight and added to the total cooking time. However, I will make this a regular menu item in my home.

This is "OK". Definitely not the best I've ever had.... Made a batch for my bf and I yesterday. We needed a quick lunch before going to our friend's Super Bowl get-together. I also wanted to make something that would yield plenty of left-overs for this week's lunches. I guess turkey chili isn't my thing (or mashed kidney beans for that matter...). I prefer my chili with whole beans - and more of them. Kidney beans don't mash well (who knew?). I must say that this was easy to prepare though. I'm going to stick with Jake Jacobs slow burn chili (which is the best I've tried off this site so far). Thanks for sharing!

This chili recipe is very good. I upscaled it to 24 servings because I like to freeze half for another meal. The blend of spices was extremely good, however, the chili definitely has a bite, which my kids did not like too well. Additionally, the chili was more soupy than hearty. I like a spoon to be able to stand up on its own in my chili. Some planned modifications to the recipe next time I make it: 1. Decrease cayenne pepper to 1/2 to 2/3 of what is indicated on the original recipe. 2. Decrease water to 2/3 of what is indicated on the current recipe. 3. I also increased the beans to twice as much. I like a good ratio of meat to beans. 4. I added a 15 ounce can of tomato paste. I hoped this addition would thicken the chili base, but I think the water really needs to be decreased also. Overall, give this recipe a try. Tweak the recipe to meet your needs. Enjoy!

I cook this chilli for my boyfriend all the time and he loves it. I just add a little semi-sweet chocolate chips in the bowl. This recipes is very easy to make when you come home from a long day at work.
