Luckily I read the reviews before I started and knew to cut down on the water and add more spice. However, I only added one cup of water, instead of two, cooked it for over an hour and it's still too runny. Next time I'll use 1/2 cup of chicken broth, another can of beans, and add in more spice and maybe a jalepeno. It's on the bland side. But, it's a good base for chili - just spice it up a bit and cut the water.

For a quick, simple turkey chili, this is it. As a fan of turkey chili, however, this one didn't rate five stars with me. I am praying the flavors with come together a little more in the next 4 hours. I have it in the slow cooker (double batch) and guests arriving at 7 p.m. I followed the recipe exactly (minus the cup of water) and just am not convinced it's the best. I even put in a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Ooooh doggy it's got some heat! Good thing I got the Texas Sheet Cake V for desert!!

I loved this! I changed a few things up a bit to fit my own tastes, but the basic recipe is a winner. I used one can kidney beans and one can chili beans (we love lots of beans in our chili). I didn't add any water, and I used one can diced tomatoes, and one can tomato sauce. Served with jalapeno cheddar corn bread, and it was delicious!!

This has become one of my fav meals of all time! It is a tad bland for me as is so I add the following: a can of corn, a can of Bush's chili beans, 2 chopped jalepenos, double the cayenne, double the cumin, add a pinch of cinnamon. I garnish with sour cream ans cheddar and serve with chips. It is SO good! Guests & husband agree.

Really good recipe! I started off making it following the recipe word for word, but It just tasted pretty bland. I'd say half the water, or use broth instead. I ended up throwing in two chicken bouillon cubes which really sweetened it up some. I used stewed tomatoes; I was out of garlic so I just used garlic powder, and I love my chili with a kick of spice so i doubled the cumin, paprika and cayenne pepper. Great overall! Definitely adding it to the recipe box.

Very good. My husband is allergic to beans so I substituted macaroni. Also I think I will reduce the amount of chili powder by 1/2 because it was a little too much heat for my 10 year old. But really tasty. Thank you

It needed more beans for me, so I added a can of Black Beans. Great flavor! Will make again!

I have made this recipe so many times and really love it. I usually use low sodium beef broth instead of water, omit the oil and add 1/2 a medium onion(diced) and 1/2 a bell pepper (red or green, diced). Sometimes for variety, I like to add some corn and substitute black for the kidney beans. I love this recipe!

I really enjoyed this. I omitted the beans because I don't like them. Other than that, did everything else like the recipe called for.

Very good! I used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground turkey for more flavor, and I substituted beef broth for the water. I also added a little habanero. Very good, but a little soupy- I will cook longer or use less broth next time.

I have never made or eaten a turkey chili. This was wonderfully easy and tasted fantastic. The kids loved it as well as the hubby! I didn't have to add water at all!

Terrific! I browned the turkey in a skillet with chopped carrots, onion, green & orange peppers. I only used 1 cup of water and added a can of tomato paste which made it a great consistency. Served over penne noodles with some shredded cheese on top. I didn't have any cumin. It made quite a lot.

Should have read all the reviews first. This is WAY too watery. Maybe 3/4 cup of water would have been enough. Its a little bland, too.
