I used our leftover turkey in this recipe & it was delicious & simple. Very mild though, so pump up the spice if you like it that way. No cpmplaints about turkey leftovers in this house!

Was ok - never could get it to taste just right. Followed the recipe as written and was bland. Added chopped red and green peppers, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 cup chicken broth. Probably won't try this again. Maybe I just don't like turkey chili...

This recipe is amazing. The turkey is more flavorful than the beef which you normally use in regular chili, and much healthier. Though i did add a few ingredients to the recipe- First add about half a teaspoon of regular Vanilla. Second add a couple shakes of Cinnamon. I know it doesn't seem like a lot to add to this amazing dish but the amount gives the perfect flavor. Its also very good if you serve is over White Rice.

Simple and easy!! I use only 1 cup of water (not as soupy). Used the ideas posted here for 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and cinni, for a unique taste. Serve with cornbread muffins, yummy!

A first rate recipe.I added chick peas (personal preference) and didn't mash the kidney beans. It stretched a pound of turkey a long way.

This chili is easy and great. Very flavorful. I added 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 Tbsp of brown sugar. I also browned the spices for a minute or two before adding the water to release the flavor. I am surprised that the recipe doesn't call for that. I used 1 cup of water and added the juice from the can of tomatoes. This recipe is great! (I served it with Texas Spoon Bread from this site).

Pretty good--I only changed a few things-I used pureed tomatoes since they were on sale, and from experience I can say that it made the chili nice and thick. I also added a roasted bell peppers and that gave it a really good flavor.

OMG! I made the Simple Turkey Chili and it was outstanding! I was a little spicy but not too hot. I added smoked turkey sausage in along with the ground turkey as well. I took this chili to work and my coworkers loved it! It looks like I have earned some cool points thanks to this meal.

this is a decent base recipe, but it really needs a lot of doctoring up. i followed some advice below and also added a can of chili beans - i pureed about half of the chili beans and half of the kidney beans, and added the rest of the beans whole. i also added more garlic and more of all the spices, but that's how i like my chili. i also added some frank's red hot, brown sugar and cinnamon, which gave it a really warm, sweet taste (i know it sounds gross, but it's really not! mix and match to your liking). the only thing i would NOT do next time is add 2 cups of water, that seemed to be way too much. even a cup seems like it would be almost too much....add gradually depending on how soupy you want the chili to be. i made cornbread to go with it and it was a very nice meal on a cool fall day.

Simple & Satisfying! I like my chili on thicker side so didn't add, or need, any water! I think it would be more like a soup if I had. For more flavour, I doubled the cumin and added a bit more chili powder. Will make again! YUM

My boyfriend LOVED it! I made a few changes: I used a can of whole black beans, instead of water I used 1 cup beer and a 1/2 cup water, and I also added another can of crushed tomatoes. It was just too spicy for me. Next time, I will use less chili powder. ***Update*** The next day, it was amazing! The over spiciness was gone and it was perfect! 5 stars for the second day
