This is a really good simple and CHEAP chili to make. I took some to a pot luck last week and everyone ate it up. Tastes extra good with some sharp cheddar, red onion and a dallop of sour cream on top with corn bread on the side.

This was the best chili I've ever made! And it was so easy! I only added 1 cup of water because we like our chili on the thicker side. I also added a can of mild chili beans. I only put in a little bit of chili powder since my kids don't like spicy food but it was still really yummy! I served it on top of penne pasta with a huge heap of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chili. My husband, who is very picky, LOVED it...he wants to eat the left-overs tomorrow night for dinner! My 3 yr old twins liked it and even my 13-month old twins loved it and kept wanting more!

great recipe, but i made a few changes. i cooked the turkey in a skillet with the onion and garlic before adding it to the pot. i also added 1 can of black beans and 1 can of corn. if you're worried about it being too soupy, let it simmer uncovered. it will steam off and thicken up. oh and this one is spicy!

Brought this to dinner at a friend's and got good reviews. Added twice the amount of beans to help add some more substance. We like our chili hot, so will add a lot more spice next time we make this for ourselves. Great stand-by recipe, though, when ground turkey is on hand.

This recipe is simple and delicious! I didn't bother putting garlic and I substituted tomatoe sauce with a small can of tomatoe paste.

I like the idea of mashing the kidney beans. It thickens the chili and accentuates the taste of the kidney beans.

Awesome chili and so good for you! I only added 1 cup of water because I like my chili on the thick side. Otherwise I stuck to the recipe exactly. My 4 year old daughter helped me cook the chili and loved the results (especially because she added a little sour cream)!

I thought this was excellent, but did make a few changes. Instead of the crushed tomatoes I added a 15 oz can of tomato sauce and a 14.5 oz can of whole tomatoes. I also did not drain the kidney beans and omitted the water. I had no problem with the chili being soupy as some of the other reviewers had said. I also just added one T of chili powder, since I have toddlers, and a cup of cooked pasta shells. Turned out just right.

Good but not great. It's just too watery and not missing something. Would be great with some bell peppers and more veggies. Next time I'll stick to my fav turkey chili recipe.

This was great!! I have only made veggie chili before this and this chili turned out super yummy. It was quite spicy even though we like spicy food (and I only used 1 1/2 tbls of the chili powder). I took other's suggestion and added a jar of diced tomatoes with chilis. And, I added more veggies -- green pepper and carrots. At first I didn't add the 2nd jar of kidney beans, but about an hour before eating it looked like it needed more -- and we love beans in our chili so I used all the beans.

This chili was fantastic and hit the spot on a cold day. I also added green pepper and a little extra cayanne because I like it spicy!

I have repeated this recipe dozens of times; it is well loved and appreciated by our friends and family. I make this all-organic and it is excellent! I usually add frozen corn (that has been cooked and drained) and I also use vegetable broth instead of water, which I highly recommend. We tend to like it less soupy, so I add an extra can of beans and an extra 1/2 can of crushed tomatoes. I back off on the chili powder a touch, so people can spice it up to their liking.

I followed this recipe exactly and while it was good, it was a little bit too watery for my definition of chili, missing a little something (more beans I think) and a little too spicy. Adding more beans/other fillings would cut down on the spice and really "finish" this recipe I think.

This is really good chili! I omitted the olive oil because ground turkey has so much moisture, it doesn't really need it. I also doubled the beans and used several different kinds of beans; kidney, chili and pinto. You could put almost anything in this recipe; veggies, a small amount of pasta, etc. It is not heavy or "greasy" in any way. This recipe has a little more liquid than typical chili, but that makes it great for cornbread (see Grandma's Buttermilk Cornbread on this website). This will become a regular for my household.

Very good. My hubby and dad loved it. It is on the soupy side though. I added another can of beans and a can of corn and it was still watery, more like soup. If you like a thicker chili then reduce the water. Next time I will use only one cup. Even so it did taste very good.

Excellent recipe, the entire family thought it was delicious. I used a can of pinto beans in place of kidney and also added a can of chili beans. However, I did not crush them. Also following another user suggestion I added a can of chilis. I will definately be making this again.

This was very good chili. Mine did not turn out too spicy, but I didn't have cayenne pepper. I added extra chili powder to give it a bit more flavor. I think I will invest in some cayenne pepper and try this recipe again. I will definitely be making again. Very good flavor and so simple to make.
