I wanted to make simple sugar cookies for a family party; something less messy for the little ones. I thought this would fit my need. My husband insisted that I put on icing and sprinkles because it was Christmas. My sister loved the cookies because she said they were nice and moist, not hard like some sugar cookies. I may have added a tablespoon of milk to the batter. The cookie rolls were sticky but cut nicely after being in the refrigerator. The cookies were a big hit.

Basic Recipe. Turned out great. I added some honey, baked them for 6 minutes so they turned out softer.

my kids loved these cookies. I gave it a four star because they fell apart way too easy. maybe you need to add more flour I Don't know. I will make them again.

This recipe was awful. The dough was so sticky, I couldn't use cut-outs. Because I didn't want to waste the dough, I rolled the dough into balls and baked them. They tasted awful! I think this would be best served at thanksgiving alongside the turkey with some butter or honey because they tasted like biscuits.

I got nothing but compliments for these. I threw the logs in the freezer in early December and made them as needed for the next few weeks and they were delicious every time. My only complaint is that they don't travel well because they break so easily, but some careful packaging and delicate carrying solves that problem.

Way too soft. These cookies fall apart when you pick them up. The flavor is great but I want a sugar cookie you can eat without a fork.

FANTASTIC! By far the easiest sugar cookie recipe and comes out perfectly. I rolled mine in sugar and cinnamon to give it more of a "snickerdoocdle" flavor.

I'm 62 and have been making sugar cookies for almost that long. The only way to make the "soft" ones is to use sour cream in the recipe. Then store in air tight bag or jar. If I frost and decorate them, I wait a few minutes for the frosting to set up.

My husband is a firefighter and I made these to take to a event at the station. They ate them up so fast and were begging for more. I had 3 other wives call me for the recipe bc their husbands couldn't stop talking about them. Kids loved them too. Easy to make and wonderful.

This was a great recipie, and most of the time i would never say this about cookies, but they were actually TO soft. No matter how long i let them sit, they wree so soft you couldnt pick them up. I made this twice, the first time there wasn't enough flour, which made them soft. The second time, i used 2 and a half cups of flour, and they turned out 100% better. All in all, tasted AMAZING. Good recipie.

I made some changes but these were awesome! 1/2 cup more of flour, 1/4 more powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon more baking soda and cream of tartar. I rolled between wax paper after refrigerating and thy worked perfectly for metal cookie cutters. They tured out light and fluffy and better than the store!!! I would suggest light frosting they can be fragile.

Perfect! I loved the way they came out just right-- not too crispy, not too soft. I made a batch for my husband and his friends and they loved them! I also rolled a few in cinnamon and sugar and the came out really well.

If you like soft and creamy sugar cookies you'll love this recipe! I didn't roll the dough in plastic wrap - I just refrigerated the dough for an hour and rolled into balls. Since I used salted butter, I did not add any additional salt to the batter.

I tried this recipe a to give the residents at my place of work a nice treat for the 4th of July. I absolutly loved it. The mix came together really well. They weren't too sweet and came out very soft. I'll keep this recipe for a very long time.
