This was a great and easy salad. Made just like shown on the recipe. The dressing is like a seven layer salad so nice and sweet. My husband and I were very pleased.

This recipe is great! It is SO easy, yet is nice enough for fancier meals or to bring with you to a potluck. I did that last night and had two recipe requests and an empty salad bowl when I came home. (I skipped the almonds and forgot to buy the mushrooms, and it was still great. I also did a half-half mix of baby organic romaine and organic spinach instead of all spinach.)

Absolutely awesome! I don't normally enjoy salad of any kind for dinner, but THIS was perfection. I think the key to it all was that delicious dressing. I opted for light mayo, which lowered the calories a bit.

I needed a dressing in a pinch and used this one. I was hesitant as hubby does not like sweet dressings but had no choice. I made it to spec and than had to play around with it to reduce the sweetness by adding more mayo and vinegar. He loved it and the rest of the family. I will make again but absolutely reduce the sugar and increase the vinegar. In fact, just keep adding the sugar a little at a time until you agree with the level of sweetness. I added this to a basic spinach salad, crumbled bacon, sliced and chopped eggs, thinly sliced red onions, sliced mushrooms, sprinkle of shredded mozza cheese and sprinkled sliced oven baked almonds on top…WOW…thank you for sharing this dressing recipe, it was easy to make and delicious! - I am rating the dressing not the salad...

I LOVED this! The fresh mushrooms were a bit strange at first, but really good added to the mix. I'll definitely make this again. I didn't like the dressing though, so just added some balsamico.

This was the first salad I made for dinner with my new in-laws. I left out the mushrooms and the onions as I know those are not favourites but made the rest exactly as called for. I made the mistake of mixing everything in except for the dressing 2 hours before dinner (because we had to travel) and the nuts got soft. DO NOT mix them in until just before the dressing. The dressing is fabulous too. Everyone loved it and there was nothing left, the bowl was scraped clean.

This recipe was very good. We cut out the onions and mushrooms. We also modified the dressing a bit. We only used 2 TBS of sugar for the same amount of Mayo and Red Wine Vinegar it called for. It was really sweet cutting out half the sugar. We will DEFINITELY use this recipe again!

Sooo good...I omitted the bacon. I also made the Honey-Balsamic Vinaigrette on this site instead of the dressing here. I really liked the combo of the fresh spinach with crunch of the toasted almonds and the sweetness of the golden raisens....will make again!

This will become a staple in my house! The only variation I made was using light miracle whip instead of mayo. It reminds me a lot of a broccoli and cauliflower sald recipe my mom used to make, but I honestly think this is soooo much better! You get more veggies and more rufage with this...plus my husband will eat small bits of broccoli in a large spinach salad more than he would an entire salad made of broccoli. I may try using splenda the next time instead of sugar to make it slightly more healthy. It could become a whole meal with the addition of cubed up chicken breast. You can't feel bad eating a ton of it because it's so good for you!

Delish! I loved the combination of vegetables not typical to a spinach salad. However, I did not use the dressing recipe. I was in a hurry and just used Ken's Lite Raspberry Walnut, drizzled and tossed. It was a great hit.
