I was skeptical at first, but after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. I needed an easy recipe, as I would only have a few minutes to buy the ingredients and put it together for a Halloween party I was going to. I did get a pomegranite infused red wine vinegar instead though. The salad was a HUGE hit!! I added a bit more vinegrate than called for because I found it a tad to sweet. I used all of the ingredients and it was really good!!! I will definitely be making this again for potlucks and family dinners. HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!

Loved it! Was looking for a salad with ingredients I had in the house. I substituted the golden raisins for craisins and all six of the people I served it to wanted me to make it again! Thanks

Simple Spinach Salad Haiku: "Vibrant and unique. Almonds, raisins are a must. No need for bacon." I used all of the ingredients called for (minus bacon bits, blech), but my measurements were more of a chop-cut-add. I made the dressing to serve on the side, along w/ a choice of other dressings, to my BBQ guests, only b/c I was doubtful of how mayo/sugar/RW vinegar would taste together, and plus, mixing the dressing into all of the greens would yield soggy leftovers, if there were to be any. In any case, there weren't any leftovers of the actual salad, but nobody liked the mayo dressing, and instead preferred a balsamic vinaigrette.

LOVED IT! The changes I made were minimal: 1) omitted the bacon (even though I adore the best meat ever, we had a vegetarian eating with us), 2) used regular raisins instead of golden 3) added in a handful of flaxseed (it doesn't change anything taste wise, it's just standard for me when eating a salad because it's a quick & easy way to get some fiber & omega's). Next time I want to try and sub in greek yogurt for the mayo to see what it tastes like (and then I won't feel quite so guilty, lol) and might cut back the sugar just a smidge too. All 5 of the people who were eating dinner really enjoyed this salad - thanks for sharing! :)

Only thing I did was cut the sugar in half. Almonds get chewy fast so not sure I would add them next time.Excellent taste!

LOVE this salad. Was a huge hit with the hubby... even though he was wary at first he love it. I've mad this several time now. Just need to cut down on the dressing it was great but too much.

This was a great and easy salad. Made just like shown on the recipe. The dressing is like a seven layer salad so nice and sweet. My husband and I were very pleased.
