Secret Ingredient is Love

Winner!! I'll make this over and over again. My family loved this with mashed potatoes. I did make some changes, I used 1 1/2 lbs ground beef and I added 1 tspn soy sauce in place of the browning sauce and it was perfect, not too salty. Also, I added 1 jar of brown gravy that I mixed with the condensed soup (minus the 1/4 tsp salt)along with a little water and poured it on top of the browned patties. I ended up baking this in a 325 oven for 30 minutes after browning them first in the skillet.

I also ended up baking for a bit longer -- 30 minutes or so, because I realized when forming the patties that I didn't really use enough bread crumbs with the very moist organic grass-fed beef I was using, and the patties didn't hold their shape too well. They still tasted delicious, and I served them with egg noodles.

5 stars although I made the mistake of using condensed french onion soup instead of mushroom. I don't know HOW I made that mix up! However, it tasted great. I had to thicken the gravy because of my mixup with the soup. Grumpy loved it! I believe mushroom soup would be just as good.

This was very good but the patties tended to break apart while cooking. I will make it again but will try to add more bread crumbs to help hold the patties together.

It was quite good, but could be better with a few changes. Increase the breadcrumbs/crackers so that would hold together better, and add a shot of worcestershire and a tiny dollop of dijon mustard. I did omit the browning liquid. I served mine on top of a bed of mashed potatoes with a sprinkling of chopped flat-left parsley on top. Yum!

Very simple and very good. I used soy sauce in place of the browning sauce as another user suggested; otherwise I followed the recipe exactly and it came out great. This was a big hit with my husband and my father-in-law.

Very good. Made noodles to go with this dish, but there wasn't enough gravy to go around when made as is.

This was good and easy to make. I did however cook them until they were almost done instead of just browning them before draining. They were plenty done and didn't fall apart after I added rest of the ingredients. I left out the fresh mushrooms and it was still very tasty.
