Very simple, very easy, and what a big hit! I tweaked it a bit (don't we all?) as I didn't have any horseradish. I reckon that'd be lovely, but a few drops of tabasco worked a treat! I also finely chopped some cilantro (coriander) and put that in as well and I think it really helped lift the flavours and make it all nice and fresh. Its a great recipe because you can add whatever veggies float your boat and the only thing I'd recommend to anyone is to either shred or slice very finely. My MIL and SIL are both demanding the recipe! Many thanks!

Evelyn Gebhardt liked your recipe. Our company's comments were good. Thanks for the tips, other reviewers- like tizzyliz. I refrigerated it for a few hours before serving. Then I took it out to get closer to room temp. before serving time.

Very Good! I'll make this again&again. I did cut back on the oil to 1/4 cup though. It's a KEEPER!!!

I think my problem with this recipe was I like sweet cole slaw. 1/4tsp sugar was just not enough--I added 1/4 cup and that was. I read the other reviews and no one else mentioned this so I think it might just be me...I however love the addition of horseradish (which I added more of too). thanks

Made this slaw to go on the Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches recipe. It was quite good.

Okay, LOVED the combination of the cabbage and lettuce! It kind of reminded me of a wilted lettuce salad. I had to omit a few ingred. since I didn't have them on hand. But, still loved the way it turned out. Just used cabbage/lettuce combo w/dressing. I did use all the dressing ingred. called for (didn't have green onion so used chopped white onion) but, added about 1/4c. sour cream. Mixed with cabbage/lettuce & refrig. a few hours before serving.

I omitted the bell pepper, greens and celery, and it still was a fabulous coleslaw.

Is this recipe ever good! True to its name, it's a 'simple' recipe that lends itself to whatever variations you feel like making. I left out the peppers and horseradish (didn't have them), and it was still delicious.

This is a great recipe and I liked the addition of the horseradish, although I fear I went a little crazy with it. Live & Learn. Normally I do 2 tbsp of Vinegar & Sugar to every cup of mayo and that works pretty well. Try using rice wine vinegar as it's a little milder than some others and gives it a nice tang. I really like some of the changes in this recipe. Thanks for the post!

It was quick, used what I had on hand. Omitted green peppers, salad greens and mayo. Used miracle whip instead.
