I used this recipe, but modified it some. I put the ribs in a crockpot w/ a little water and smothered them with bbq sauce. I let it cook all day while I was at work...I could barely get them out of the pot they were so tender! Loved it!

Tried this one for the second time. Excellent!! Used spare ribs instead of babybacks and they were wonderful. I did add soy sauce and worst. to the water when boiling 1/4 cup of each. They were great! Falling off the bone!

My husband was going to throw the ribs out because they weren't the best cut of meat but I saved them anyway. Now, I'm only halfway through cooking-boiling is done-and they are already delicious and tender! I put more seasonings than called for, some chili powder, 1/2 c soy sauce, basil, onion & garlic powders, sage, rosemary, 2 beef boullion cubes, pretty much a little bit of everything in my cabinet! They boiled for about 2 hours and I will let them sit for a while in the broth, as someone suggested, and will put them in the oven when supper time gets closer. We love Head Country barbecue sauce, which is fantastic, and I believe can be ordered from their website if you can't find it at the grocery store. (Oklahoma has it but Texas does not. I feel bad for you all in Texas.) Wonderful recipe, exactly what I was hoping for. And I did it without my man's help!

These turned out great. Very soft and tender. I boiled them for about 8 minutes then placed them in the oven. I didn't make any changes to the recipe. I used a sweet BBQ sauce which gave it a little extra.

The taste of the ribs were great but I can never get them to fall off the bone! I boiled and baked for an hour. I guess I will boil more next time, but they still tasted great anyway!

This was awesome! I had never made my own ribs before and this recipe was a great easy guildeline to start! I took the -always helpful- other reviewer's tips & boiled the ribs for an hour. I had to use what I had on hand and spiced the water w/a good amt. of steak seasoning rub (it had the spices in it - the recipe called for) & 1c of soy sauce. Then I slathered with bottled hickory smoke barbecue sauce and baked for an hour, turned half way thru, added more sauce and uncovered the last 10 min. for a nice crisp. It was falling off the bone but not too much, so it was a happy medium. Thanks! everyone! I will def. make this a favorite =) ps. This made a fabulous beef/pork like broth after boiling, I just strained it to use at a later time for gravy, soup or au jus, just freeze!!

Tried the recipe as is except I used spare ribs. Boiled for 45 min and baked for 45 min. Used Sweet Baby's Ray's Honey BBQ sauce. Meat was tender and soft, wasn't falling off the bones but still very good.

This one's a keeper...even my reserved hubby commented, saying, "wow, that's good stuff!" I boiled for an hour, let them sit in the water since I had to leave briefly, then baked in the oven. The sweet baby ray's sauce made a wonderful flavor, and at the end of the baking time, I turned them over, re-basted, and cooked for 15 more mins. YUMM!! Thanks for the post!

Fabulous! I boiled for 45 min then cooked at 350 for one hour. Used Stubb's Mesquite sauce, and added about a tbsp of honey to make it stick to the ribs better.

This was my first attempt at making ribs. I tried this recipe and another one that also had high review, I have to say, this was awesome! After reviews, I added some soy sauce and worcestershire sauce in the boiling and not only my house smelled like I knew what I was doing, but it added some great flavor!

This recipe is so easy and so delicious. I love adding the soy sauce in the water while boiling which is key. I also don't use as much bbq sauce because I find it's a bit much. But overall it's fantastic.

These were absolutely delicious! I scaled the recipe down to 2 lbs bone-in ribs which fed the 2 of us perfectly! :) These were wonderful and so simple but next time I think I will use pork back ribs instead of country style....country style are more like pork chops instead of being like the ribs you get when you go out. I had tried to make ribs once before and they weren't good but these were fantastic!! I served with a green salad and the garlicky butternut squash recipe from this site-yum! Thanks Lloyd!

Delicious! I took other reviewers' advice and boiled the ribs in water, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. I boiled them for about 45 minutes, took them off the heat, and let them sit in the juices for about an hour and a half. I then baked them at the recommended 325 for 1 hour. They were tender and juicy and fell off the bone. The only thing I would change is maybe using a different type of rib. The country style ribs are a little fatty. The fat separates pretty easy, but I'd rather have something with more meat and less fat. Great, easy recipe! My first time cooking ribs and they came out perfect.

I don't care for the country style ribs, I much prefer ribs with the bone-in. The recipe was good though, I added more garlic powder and some soy sauce (1/4 cup) when I boiled the ribs (and the house smelled wonderful), then baked for 45 mins. Thanks for the recipe, lots of room to experiment with this one.

These ribs were awesome! My husband talked about for hours after eating them! I made them exactly as the recipe says and I wouldn't change a thing! These are very easy to make after working all day and taste better than the ones I cook all day in the crock pot! They even fall apart in your plate! LOVE 'EM!
