I also added soy sauce to the boiling water. Very easy and very tasty. Living in Memphis, I've become a BBQ snob and this recipe does a nice job at home. Much cheaper than eating out! BBQ sauces are like wine - there are hundreds and it's all a matter of personal taste. Just pick what you like.

LOVE this recipe. I'd never thought about boiling the ribs in seasoned water before - I took one reviewer's suggestion and let it marinate a bit before baking. The ribs turned out incredibly moist and full of flavour. I used Sweet Baby Rays Chipolte and Brown Sugar (two separate kinds) and mixed it with some soy sauce and back for about an hour. They came out finger licking good. Just the way they should!

My husband was always in charge of the ribs until I found this recipe and suprised him one night! Before I boiled the ribs i seasoned them with chicken/Rib rub. I put salt, pepper, and garlic powder in the water and boiled for 1 hour. I baked the ribs for 1 1/2 hours basting periodically. These were great, and now I'm the RibMaster in the house!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! This was soooooo awesome. I cannot believe I made this! I was told this was the best ribs EVER! Better then any restaurant even! I must admit that this was better then I've ever had also. This is what I did and it was perfect! I covered the ribs with water in a huge stockpot. Added: 1 onion cut in wedges, 3/4 cup of soy sauce, pinch of garlic powder, black pepper. Boiled this for 45 mins. Let it sit in the marinade for 1 hour. Then brushed on my BBQ sauce- Sweet Rays BBQ- honey bbq. Transfered to the oven and baked for 1 hour. Make sure to reapply every 20 mins. Everyone will love this!
