"My Aunt Julie and I were making Christmas cookies and we tried to make cake-mix cookies with brownie mix. This is the result which we named by combining our names. Our families ate them all before Christmas! They should be soft, chewy and crinkly."

Directions

  1. Mix the brownie mix, butter, egg, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up the dough.
  2. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Place the confectioners' sugar in a shallow bowl.
  3. Scoop up about 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie, and roll into a ball. Roll the ball in the confectioners' sugar, then place the balls on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven until the tops are cracked, 12 to 14 minutes. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before removing the cookies to racks to finish cooling.

These cookies are super easy and a lot tastier than they look. I mixed a little cinnamon with the powdered sugar before I rolled them (which may account for some of the ugliness of mine). They are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Really yummy. My son made sure to remind me to put some in his lunch tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe!

I did just as it suggested but the cookies were flat.

Love this recipe! I was trying to find a way to use the brownie mix I had and this was perfect! I'll totally be using this again.

I've also made cookies with a triple fudge cake mix, with one egg, 1 cup of melted butter, then add 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1 cup of shredded coconut. NOMNOMNOM!!!

These are really easy to make !! I used two 18 ounce family size brownie mixes, then the rest of ingredients I doubled. (Except for confectioner's sugar) It worked out just fine. I found just like regular pan brownies--don't over bake!! More on the 12 minute side for bake time. I'd make them again anytime!!

These are yummy. I used an 18.3 oz brownie mix and kept the other ingredients the same. Chewy and addicting, I can't stop eating them! Thanks!

Turned out way too thin and hardly any powdered sugar on them. They got too hard when cool but they tasted great when still warm and gooey

Super easy, super quick, super yummy! I didn't roll mine in the sugar, and added some nuts to the mix. There's really no disguising that they're brownies!
