I made these with peanuts and peanut butter and omitted the popcorn, instead added almonds and then used semi-sweet chocolate chips. They came out pretty good, but I found them to be fairly sweet - but then again I like that. I will probably make them again but next time, might add pretzels or something to cut some of the sweetness.
Tasty but omit the popcorn and change it to another cereal. The popcorn became hard and difficult to eat. I would suggest rice crispies or another cereal in the same amount. Even with the hard popcorn the family finished the pan in 1 day
I used peanuts, and puffed wheat instead of the popcorn. Also used Peanut butter. I cook at a camp in the oil fields, and the guys LOVE THEM. So easy to make, and relatively healthy. Very tasty, and I'm not even a fan of peanut butter!
