Great idea but first I cooked the meat, peppers, and onions in the crock pot until the veggies were slightly tender (5-6 minutes) then I added 2/3 cup of BBQ sauce and 1 Tbsp of Cholula sauce to add a good kick. I don't think it is necessary to cook for 7 hours either. I cooked mine for 5 hours and it was just perfect. Hope this helps!

It's a good base recipe, but you need to add stuff to it to make it palatable. It was kinda gross until I added stuff (garlic powder, onion powder, pepper...), but we still didn't like it. And there wasn't much sauce.

I didn't shred and put on buns we put it in a tortilla. I did add some cayenne to spice it up. It was delicious and one I will definitely make again.

I used a roast instead of stew meat, and like some others, I added the sauce to the meat after it had cooked. A lot of juice cooks out of the meat and I was afraid it would dilute the sauce too much. The sauce was a little sweet for our liking, but we gobbled it up just the same.

my family loved this! I only had one green pepper on hand so that is whatIi used and it was great. I do not like BBQ sauce and I loved this. I put one slice of pepper jack cheese, baked beans, and watermelon. It was the perfect summer meal that is easy to make for a lot of people. thanks for the recipe!

We really enjoyed this recipe and thought that it had plenty of zip. We didn't even need to add BBQ sauce. The stew meat worked out great, since it was so easy to shred.

I thought this was really good and super easy! I didn't have anydry mustard, so I used prepared, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I loved the green peppers and onions and it smelled so good while cooking. I had one for lunch and the whole family had them for dinner. There are many leftovers for today, so I am having another one for lunch! Delicious!

I did not care for at all. To spruce it up I added BBQ sauce the next day.

Used boneless pork loin instead of beef. Also left out the chili powder and green pepper. I didn't cook the tomato paste with the meat, instead added two cans after it was shredded. It turned out great!!

Fantastic recipe! Made as is, except left out the green pepper. Didn't have any tomato paste so I used tomato sauce. Served this for a catered Christmas party and got rave reviews!
