DIRECTIONS
In a 6-qt. slow cooker, combine the beef, green peppers and onions. In a small bowl, combine tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, chili powder, salt, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Stir into meat mixture. Cover and cook on high for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender.
Skim fat from cooking juices. Shred beef, using two forks. With a slotted spoon, place about 1/2 cup beef mixture on each bun.

Family really enjoyed this. So much easier to use the stew meat. It shredded perfectly and the sauce was tasty and coated the meat nicely. Served on soft potato rolls with cole slaw. Plenty of leftovers and I bet they can be frozen for another quick meal. Thanks for a great dinner!

Added 2 hot chopped peppers with the green peppers and onions. Doubled the sauce, and used extra chili powder (and a variety of chili powders - some regular, some ancho). LOVED this recipe. The sauce flavor was sooooooo good. Thanks so much for sharing. This is going to be come a favorite.
