I made this at a Christmas party last year. It was the first time I'd ever done a turkey by myself, and my mother told me I was basting too much. I showed her; it was the most tender turkey any of the guests had ever had. Better than the woodchips she fed us every Christmas Day!

The turkey is stuffed with quartered apples and onions, salt, coarse ground pepper, butter, and carbonated cola. Fresh garlic is rubbed all over the outside of the bird, and it's given a good sprinkle of seasoned salt. Ten hours in the smoker, and it's fabulously flavored with a heavenly hickory essence!

This is a very easy way to make a Thanksgiving turkey using an oven bag. The bird will be perfectly moist when done, and you can make gravy out of the juice that forms in the bottom of the bag. Plus, cleanup is a snap! The cooking time will vary for different sized turkeys.
