This is the basic oatmeal recipe; use your favorite toppings and sauces, such as sliced avocado, sriracha sauce, chopped chard or greens, even a poached egg. So many possibilities!"

I already make something quite similar to this. I add leftover meat,vegetables and even some sauces, I warm up leftover oatmeal with raw onions,garlic and water and then add the other items. I usually really like the different combinations I make.I don't have the problems with not using leftovers like I used to. Of course,being a widow I only have to please myself. I was recently put on a special diet of not using dairy products,so this way I get the oatmeal with out the sugar and dairy.
