"Irish stout is very smooth, but a little weak in alcohol content. Adding a shot of dark rum kicks the alcohol up a notch and adds just a hint of sweetness, making this very drinkable." — Brian Miller

1 1/2 fluid ounces dark rum
1 pint Irish stout beer (e.g. Guinness®)
Yummy. Having tried various versions of the "Irish Boiler Maker" I have found that adding a shot of Jamesons Irish Whiskey works very well in Guiness.
Awesome. Put Guinness in anything and it's better. And dark rum... what a match. Better than peanut butter and jelly.
