This is pretty good. A little less flavor than I expected, but I also like very spicy food. This would be an easy fix with some hot taco sauce/salsa or peppers. Definitely worth a try!

Excellent! I followed the advice of the other reviews and used whole wheat tortillas; great choice! I imagine the avocado on top would also be a great addition. Just make sure to evenly spread the cilantro, as a bite full of cilantro is mighty suprising!

Yum! Awesome recipe! My husband loved it and never knew it was low fat. I added 1/2 of a seeded jalepeno and 1/2 with seeds. It added some kick, if you like things hot!

Wonderful!!! The only thing I changed was to make and use my own tortillas - they wer thicker than store bought which just make this pie better! I will make this often - my family loves Mexican food.

EXTREMELY filling and very good. A bit too labor-intensive for me to make on a weeknight again. The mixture from step 3 would make a great light, easy lunch for summer.

I've made this twice and maybe I'm doing something wrong but each time it was always just OK. The first time I thought maybe I just needed to add something else or maybe I didn't follow the recipe correctly. Nope, this just didn't do great things for me or my husband, I won't be making this again.

This is a delicious entree. First time I added grilled chicken to the black bean layer (I substituted kidney beans) and the second time I used ground beef. I also made my own refried beans-bit of a chore but worth it. Very good second day too.

I thought this was great. It was really simple. I added a layer of ground turkey b/c the boyfriend requested "something with meat". I also made fresh guacamole to serve along side. This was especially good reheated for lunch the next day.

YUMMY! This dish was warming and filling. The beans were sweet, and when served with extra salsa it was the perfect family meal. Just as a warning: this dish isn't pretty by any stretch of the imagination. You might want to refrain from serving it to guests or to those you wish to impress.

Really good! I substituted green onions for cilantro and mozarella for the cheddar...and it turned out great. Guacamole and sour cream are a must for serving.

This is my first time attempting vegetarian cooking and my husband and I are loving it! This recipe in particular is down-right fantastic! So filling, so delicious, and so healthy. It reminds you of a lasagna, without the fat from the ground beef. For a heart-healthy alternative, you have to try this one!

Yum. We really enjoyed this. Made some MINOR changes to spice it up a bit since the kids wouldn't have eaten it anyway, and we prefer things with spice. Instead of 2 cans pinto beans I used 1 can of refried and 1 can of chili beans (pinto in mild sauce). I used about double or triple the cilantro. Instead of 1/2 cup tomatoes, I used a can of rotel. And I served it with guacamole in addition to sour cream.
