I personally would have given this 2 stars, my husband 4, so I met in the middle with 3. I thought it was bland and boring, definitely missing something. I'm not a huge fan of cold dips, so this may have influenced my opinion. I think if I ever tried this dip again, I would double the beans, mix the taco seasoning with the sour cream and cream cheese instead of the beans, leave out the lettuce, and add some beef. The salsa (I used a jar of homemade-style) made this dip very runny. If you're looking for a good bean dip, try Ranch Bean Dip on this site. It's wonderful.

This is a fantastic recipe - I made it about a month ago for a BBQ and now everywhere I go everyone wants me to make this recipe. When I bring it for parties or for a get together it is the first to go. No changes to this recipe!

Great recipe- so quick and easy to make! Took me no longer than 10 minutes to prepare and make. I followed another member's suggestion to substitute for LIGHT cream cheese and sour cream to reduce calories- and it tasted just as good! Nobody could tell it was less than half the calories! **Instead of nachos, I cut up a bunch of pitas, brushed them w/olive oil and baked them in the oven. Soooo DELICIOUS! Thanks Sue

We love this recipe. The only change I make is that I put the green onions on top of the cheese. My daughter requests this as her reward for good report cards. And in the summer, we use it as dinner on really hot days! Fantastic!

I love this recipe! To stretch the recipe I used 2 cans of refried beans, an entire container of guacamole dip, extra mayo and sour cream (no exact amounts). I also used a container of pico de gallo from the deli instead of just chopped tomato and green onions. Topped with lots of cheddar cheese - no black olives. Fabulous!!

This was a recipe we used for our "Govenor's Ball" celebration after our classroom Oscars. It was cool and refreshing and easy to change the consistency as needed for all our friends.

Delicious! To start with, I didn't use lettuce, green onions, or peppers, and I didn't use the taco seasoning. I put this in a 2-quart casserole as I planned to bake it. I used the beans for the first layer, then the cream cheese/sour cream mixture for the second layer, homemade guacamole for layer three, diced tomatoes next, then sliced olives, then salsa (I used fresh chunky salsa and drained it well). I covered it entirely in shredded cheddar and baked at 350 for about 35 minutes. It was a total hit with everyone who was there, and I handed out the recipe to a lot of people who tried it. Thanks!

My guests loved this!!! I didn't use the lettuce or sliced olives by personal preference. Also make sure to drain your salsa as much as possible because it can make it a little runny. My guests didn't seem to mind though!!!! Thanks for an awesome recipe!

I make this all the time but I make it a little different. I mix the cream cheese w/ 2 Tablespoons taco seasoning mix and make that my first layer. Then I add 1 cup of guacamole mixed with rest of taco seasoning mix and make that my second layer. Then instead of refried beans I use canned bean dip. But as for everything else I do the same as whats printed on this recipe.

Excellent Recipe. I would suggest if you are adding guacomole, to add more beans and taco seasoning. I added that extra layer and it was a very creamy taco dip. I love the creaminess but I like a little mroe beans. To much creaminess can be overwhelming. Quck and easy!

Great! Added home made guacamole, did not add the tomato or olives. Girls at work liked it. Would like to try it with taco meat sometime. Great recipe, thank you for sharing!

Very good dip, in fact I am replacing my old recipe for this one. Love the cream cheese in with the sour cream. I did change one thing, only because of my preference, and that was use less Taco seasoning then called for.
