Mine was really runny. I made some modifications, as I think everyone will bc this is a basic recipe. One of the best parts was the cream cheese sour cream mixture, I highly recommend doing that step! I also used some Hormel CHili with no beans, which was pretty good too.

I made this for a get together last weekend and everyone liked it. I took the suggestion of others and mixed the taco seasoning, cream cheese and sour cream together. I also took the suggestion of others and mixed some diced jalapeno peppers (from the jar) into the refried beans. I decided not to use the bell pepper as I thought it would over power the dish. I also didn't use the lettuce because many said it wilted fast. Overall, I thought this was a good recipe. However, I will make a few modifications next time ... based on my own taste buds. I would add a little seasoning salt to the sour cream mixture or perhaps sprinkle a few drops on each layer. The flavors tasted good together but I felt it could have definitely used more seasoning and spice. I didn't care for the salsa as it kind of made the dish runny.

This is outstanding! The best 7 layer dip I've ever made. The cream cheese/sour cream mixture is so good! I made it for a little ladies-get-together and there were only 8 of us here and we polished off the whole thing!

This is a great potluck/party dish and I've found that even those who dislike veggies will gobble this dip up.

Best 7-layer dip! Next time I will add some extra beans on the bottom. (I had a pan 8x11 inch and the beans barely spread across the whole bottom.) I did add guacamole instead of lettuce and green peppers. It turned out great!

I love this recipe, but the first time I made it my salsa was too watery and soon the whole thing was swimming. Now I use about half the salsa in a thin layer, then literally lay a paper towel over the salsa layer to gently blot the excess moisture before adding the veggies and cheese. Now it turns out perfectly.

WOW truly the best seven layer dip and so easy to make. The fresh veggies really make a difference. I took it to a football party last weekend and our friends loved it. I am making it again for another party this weekend.

I made this for the first time a few weeks ago for my mother in laws birthday, it was a HUGE hit and they all wanted the recipe. I did change one thing, I added the taco seasoning to the cream cheese and sour cream mixture instead of the beans. Delicious!!

I thought I would have left overs for sure, but after seeing the heaping amounts everyone took it was gone in about 25 mins!! It was soooooo good. Will make again. I bought already cut up scallions, peppers, and tomatoes to make it even faster. Excellent!

I accidentally bought only an 8 oz container of sour cream, but this recipe was amazing and was devoured very quickly. It made so much I was sure there would be leftovers, but there weren't!

I changed this up a little. I added green chilis to the beans, and taco seasoning to the cream cheese sour cream mixture as mentioned in a previous review. I left out the green peppers and olives just cause the birthday girl didn't want them on it. You can change it up any way you want and it will be delish! Set it out with homemade tortilla chips and crackers. They would have licked the plate clean if I would have let them.

This was so delicious!! I was skeptical if it would be really tasty or not, because it seemed so fast and simple. It is not too good to be true! It is EASY, FAST, and DELICIOUS! I'm bringing this to the next cook-out. Just a tip, we use authentic, thin Mexican tortilla chips made at a local Hispanic bakery. They are too thin for this hearty dip. Go for the sturdy grocery store tortilla chips!
