I love this salad. I sometimes like to leave the parmesan cheese out of the dressing.

This is a really good salad, especially for potlucks. I usually put the dressing in the middle so it mixes better. Most people really love it.

Perfect seven layer salad, but I think my onion was too big. Next time I will only use half a red onion.

Thanks so much for posting this recipe. I think I have made it 5-6 times since the Christmas season for various gatherings and the container is always almost scraped clean! I prefer making this in a 9x13 so that the dressing is more equally distributed. Sometimes I only put dressing over half and put out another type of dressing for the other half.

I'll admit, when I was assigned a Seven Layer Salad for Christmas dinner with the family, I thought it seemed a bit strange - it tasted great! Made it early in the morning to be served that night. I did change the dressing a bit - 3/4 c sour cream, 3/4 c mayo and 3/4 miracle whip. I also added spinach to the iceberg lettuce, omitted the cauliflower and added a layer with sliced hard-boiled eggs. Delicious, and looked really beautiful in the trifle dish! Thank you!

Fabulous!! I did alter a bit by using Smart Balance instead of mayo and I sliced the red onion thinly rather than chopped as some do not care for red onion in my family. There was absolutely no difference in taste with the maSmart Balance and half the calories. I also use bagged Hearts of Romaine instead of iceberg which was more flavorful. All of my guests raved!!

This salad was very good. I did omit the bacon and cauliflower. My aunt and I devoured the entire thing.

This is a great salad. I had this many years ago when a friend made it, but the cauliflower wasn't part of it. The cauliflower is a great addition and the dressing is very good. So easy and so tasty!

THIS RECIPE IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, A REAL CROWD PLEASER! THE ONLY ALTERATION I MADE WAS THAT INSTEAD OF MAKING THE DRESSING, I CHEATED (TIME CONSTRAINTS)AND USED MARZETTI'S COLE SLAW DRESSING. I WILL DEFINITELY MAKE IT AGAIN.

The only problem I had with this was the amount it made...I ended up with a lot left over after the potluck. It had a very good flavor though! Maybe next time I'll half the recipe and use a smaller dish.

YUM!!! With my picky-eaters at my house, this ends up being a 4 layer salad, but it is great!!! The salad dressing is delicious, I usually add a little lemon juice to it. I cook my bacon in the oven at 400, so it cooks up nice and crisp. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

I've made several different versions of this salad and it's ALWAYS a hit at my dinner parties. I love it and it's one of my staples for company. It saves time, too, because you make a day ahead of your dinner. Most recently, one guest told me he didn't need anything else..he could make a whole meal of this salad alone! It's a great recipe.
