I made this for a party recently and it was a big hit. The only change I would make is to layer the dressing in the salad instead of just adding it to the top.

a favorite of mine! I love this recipe. Easy to prepare with 'on hand' ingredients makes this a winner. I leave out the onions for the kids sake-but still comes out great. Thanks Leah!

I love to make this salad and have made different varieties of it. Mixing the salad dressing the night before really makes the difference to me. Great recipe and a real party pleaser for dinners with friends!

This is such a good salad. I leave out the peas and replace with broccoli since we're not a *pea* kinda family. I also add several tsp. of lemon juice and white vinegar to the dressing mix. In my opinion, if you make the dressing early in the day and let it chill all day, it's WAY better! Thanks, Leah Mae, for a great recipe! :o)

Fabulous!!! I brought it to a party and everyone raved! I added a layer of fresh diced red pepper to give some festive color and I also added some milk to thin the dressing. This is a winner!

This salad was very tasty! My husband was wowed by it and thought it was much better than other salads that we have previously given 5 stars to. I reduced the amount of peas to 2/3 C. since we are low carbing and used 2 packets of splenda instead of the sugar. To give the dressing a 'kick' we added a splash of red wine vinegar and it was fantastic! A definite keeper!

Very nice salad. I love tomatoes and this recipe didn't call for any so I added some being sure to remove seedy centers first. Delicious. The dressing didn't come out the way I expected but it seemed like it would've been good.

Although my husband said he didnt really care for, I thought it was wonderful. I used another viewers advise and went half and half with mayo and mircle whip. Its flavor was excellent. It was nice on this hot summer day. My 11 year old ate 4 bowls.. I will make this for summer time get togethers.. Excellent!

This is an excellent recipe. Because the dressing is rather thick when first prepared, it should read "spread" the dressing instead of "drizzle" it over the salad. It thins after sitting and then being tossed with the vegetable mixture. This salad can be prepared and refrigerated 8-12 hours before serving. I substituted Swiss cheese instead of Cheddar, and added 3 chopped hard boiled eggs and 1 cup of chopped celery. I love recipes that can be made-up ahead of time!

This is really good! I brought it as my dish to pass at a family gathering and got big raves - they went back for thirds! I'm not a big red onion fan so I used green onions instead, I like the taste of freshness they give a salad. And to make it easier, I used the already cooked and crumbled bacon from the salad dressing aisle - goes together super fast that way! And I think next time I won't use as much parmesan in the dressing, it was a little chunky for me.

My sister requested I make a seven layer salad for Easter this year. I looked up some on-line and decided to try this recipe. It was wonderful. I made it last weekend to test and brought it to an Easter dinner this weekend. I did change a few things. Instead of just iceburg lettuce I mixed in a package of spring greens to make it more colorful. I also used half mayonnaise and half miracle whip and added two tbsp milk to thin the dressing. I made the salad the night before and tossed it to just prior to serving. It still looked pretty and everyone got a good mixture of the salad.
