I made this recipe for a Christmas Party and it turned out great. I took the advice from some of the other reviewers and put the dip in the oven to melt the cheese and warm up the beans. I also added a can of sliced, pickled jalapeno peppers, which were excellent in it.

Made this many times with my own slight variations. When I'm browning the beef I usually sprinkle about a 1/2T of cumin into it, which adds a lot of flavor. I also use fresh homemade salsa out of diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, green onions and chopped fresh jalapenos. But when you're crunched for time, the jarred salsa works just as well.

We really enjoyed this recipe! I did not use the ground beef (for the "veggie" folks) and I made my own guacamole (2 avacados, 1 chopped plum tomato, salt, pepper, cilantro, garlic powder to taste, and the juice of 1 lemon. Zip it thru your food processor, still leaving it a little chunky if you prefer, and you've got a quick dip that's so delicious). I put my dip in the oven just until the cheese started to melt a bit, but even the cold leftovers were good. Everyone loved it!

I had made this recipe for many different occassions such as parties at work, pot luck days, and even a baby shower. It was a hit and very tasty, even w/o the ground beef

Very good. I added an envelope of taco seasoning to the browned hamburger. Just gave the recipe a little extra flavor. Also used a 16-oz. jar of salsa (instead of 1 cup).

Delicious! I took some of the advice and used low sodium taco seasoning in the beef. I also heated the dip at 350 until the cheese melted. There was none left! So easy to make and so good! My only pseudo problem was the sour cream is hard to spread over the beef. I think I'll use more than a cup next time. Thanks so much for sharing! I'm making it again this weekend.

I never got to taste the dip, it was gone before I ever got near the dish at our company potluck. Everyone said it was wonderful so I'm giving this 5 stars based on everyone else's opinion. lol

This is great...although I modified it a bit. (I don't like black olives or green onions.) But it's tasty and filling. I've made this 3 times in the last month already!

This was outstanding. I followed some earlier suggestions: I cooked the ground beef with a taco powder and I also mixed the sour cream with the taco powder. I put it into two 8x8 pans. It got me rave reviews at a recent tailgating party!
