So I brought this to a party that my family was having. Since then I've been told it's my job to bring it to every family gathering from now on. If I could have put in 15 more 5 star ratings from my family members I would have.

I made this for the Seahawk vs. Packers game on Saturday, Jan 12th. We had a few people over and it was a huge hit. There was a little leftover after the game, which I placed in a bowl in the fridge. The next day I didn't want to eat it cold so I microwaved a little on top of my chips for less then a minute to warm it slightly. It was delicious! I will make this again for Super Bowl XLII!

I made this for my boyfriend and his buddies for their poker game today and it was gobbled up in record time. I thought it was pretty good, but I do think I like the version with cream cheese and taco seasoning just a little bit more. This is great though. I did add a can of diced green chilis and omitted the green onions. Tostitos Scoops work great with this dip.

This was good the first time around, but couldn't stomach the leftovers. I don't like to eat cold meat. If you don't mind that, this is a good recipe for you. I will stick to another 7 layer dip recipe that I use.

Very good! Served this to company, they enjoyed it. Husband loved it! Used two cans of refried beans instead of one.

This was GREAT. The only changes I made was I added taco seasoning to the meat and omitted the salsa (which was by accident). My guests loved this!!! I will make this over and over again. Thank you so much for sharing :)

My sister-in-law makes this dish and serves it ice cold with a big basket of crispy corn tortilla chips and serves the meat on the side, piping hot. Verrry yummy!

I prefer to use Frito Lay Bean Dip in place of the refried beans.

I have made this for years, but want to remind everyone for food safety issues, do not serve a meat dish at room temperature. It should either be hot or cold.

The dip is a little "dry" for lack of a better word. Needed more than 8 oz sour cream, half the amount of cheese (eliminate bottom layer), and perhaps more salsa. Also the chopped black olives don't look as nice as the sliced.

This was so good. The only change I made was adding a packet of taco seasoning to the ground beef- it seemed too plain without it. Otherwise, this was totally awesome.

This was great! I used taco sauce instead of salsa and followed the tip to melt the cheese on the meat a little. I also didn't use any olives. Guests loved it. One note though, is that it is best served freshly made before the event.

This is really good, however, I added Taco seasoning to the meat. It needed a little more heat, so the second try I used spicy guacamole and medium salsa. I also put bell peppers on top with the tomatoes.

I made this for an office pot luck and everyone ranted and raved over it. They scraped the dish clean and I had to email the recipe to many co-workers. I did make my own guacamole using 5 avacados and a dash of lemon juice. I also left out the salsa. I think the secret is to use taco seasoning and mix with the sour cream. I heated the refried beans and added a few dashes of Louisiana hot sauce. Excellent and I will make again.
