Didn't have the full asian flavor I was hoping for. Only marinated the beef for about 30 mins so that might be the reason.

I made this as a stir-fry with tofu (instead of beef), broccoli, snow peas, and carrots. Very simple, and better than take-out. I'm just wondering if there's a way to cut back on all that sugar and oil?

Very tasty recipe. Just what I was looking for in a sesame stir fry. We substituted chicken instead of the beef and it was very tender. The longer you are able to marinate, the better! We added mushrooms, diced carrots, broccoli florets, adn extra onion. I served it over steamed brown rice...delicious!

Great flavor. Don't let marinate too long or the salt in the soy sauce will be overpowering.

Good side dishes with this are quartered boiled potatos (with chopped dill added after boiling) and rice. You can also add some asparagus to the sesame beef

My family enjoyed this recipe. To me, it was a bit too sweet, and I steamed some fresh broccoli and peppers and added it. I can't imagine it without veggies in it, as the juice was qutie runny. Overall a decent beef recipe.

This was fabulous! I used sirloin because I wanted it tonight. It marinated for about an hour. Served it with rice sticks/vermicelli. The whole family loved it!

Extremely sweet, I would use less sugar. I doubled the recipe and I also added in some cooked asparagus and carrots at the end and added cornstarch to thicken up the sauce. Overall it was good and everyone liked it, it was just too sweet for my liking... but very easy to make.

this was really tasty. i didn't think the beef turned out too tough. i cooked the beef total about 5 minutes instead of 8. i also used one T. less of sugar and it was still very yummy. fixed with jasmine rice....delicious!

I liked the flavor of this marinade with beef very much, and I typically do not go for anything at all sweet with meat. I cringed a little, but added the sugar called for and was very pleasantly surprised with the results! I followed the recipe pretty closely, but didn't have sesame seeds. I substituted sesame oil for between 1/4 and 1/3 of the vegetable oil in the recipe. I let my beef round pieces marinate around 45 minutes and they tasted great! Next time (and there will be a next time!) I'll probably double everything but the oil for more of a sauce for my vegetables/rice, and I'll try tenderizing and "velveting" the beef.

The beef came out a little tough but it was still good. I added steamed broccoli at the very end. Served this with Brazilian white rice from this website.

My whole family enjoyed this recipe. I like that I can use it with just about any type of meat. The recipe does not call for it, but we add asparagus and eat it over white rice.

I followed others advice and doubled the sauce~ marinade, I also on advice of others halved the sugar for half white sugar and half brown sugar. I just wish I would have listen to the other reviews which told you to use a better cut of meat, I used the top round the recipe stated and even after marinading for almost 8 hours still found it tough. Next time I will definitely use a better cut of meat. The recipe was Delicious though and my husband and 14 year old loved it. My son made a point to tell me how much he loved the dinner which is unusual in this house. The younger three 10, 8 and 8 though turned their noses up at it and refused to try a bite, but most night they refuse to try my cooking unless it is pizza, chicken nuggets or mac & cheese so don't let that sway your decision to try this recipe. A must keep recipe! Delicious just following the recipe exactly or there is so much to work off just using the basic ingredients!
