The first time around, I followed the directions to a t. I found that it got too thick - almost the consistency of fudge. The second time around I cooked it less before adding the sugar and it came out in a fudge-sauce consistency.

I found that you could taste the corn syrup much more than the chocolate with this one. I'll keep trying others until I find one with more of a chocolatey flavor.

This is a good recipe for a quick sauce. I used dark chocolate instead of the semi sweet. And I added a square instead of the 2 squares in the recipe. I then drizzled it over fresh cut fruit delish!

My grandson helped me make this awesome sauce for the first time and it was delicious!! I love the way it thickens when it hits the cold ice cream. This is a recipe I'll make forever. Thanks.

I think this would have been great if I just melted the first ingredients and then melted the sugar for the minimal amount of time. I followed the times exactly, cooking it on medium low and it turned into brittle, hard candy. It softened in the microwave, but as soon as it hit the cold ice cream, it again turned hard as a rock. It is also not as fudgy as I like on ice cream. It is easy to make but don't do more than melt the ingredients together. If you like fudgy toppings, this is not the one for you.

This is a very easy sauce to make and the results are very good. Personally I like something a little more dark and fudgey, but this is nice, smooth, and it really thickens up to a gooey consistency on the ice cream. I'll certainly make it again. My family enjoyed it.
