This chili had a good flavor but I had to add 2 more tablespoons of chili powder just to get a little kick to it. I was temped to add more chili powder but I knew my mother in law wouldn't eat it because it would be way to spicy. Otherwise it was quick and easy.

Delicious and easy to make. I used fresh chopped tomatoes and two bay leaves, in addition to the dark coco powder...the large jalepeno was added for subtle heat TIP: leave as one piece and do not open, this way the taste and not the heat is released from the pepper. Little ones may now enjoy this recipe too!

As written, this chili is way too sour/tomatoey tasting. I was so disappointed. But then I got online and someone suggested adding more cocoa powder. It took 2 Tablespoons more before the acidity was gone. Once gone, it's really good!! I served with cheddar, sourcream and tortilla chips.

Wow , tried this over the weekend but didn't have any unsweetened cocoa , still amazing topped with sour cream and sliced green onions . Added 1 tsp cumin , 1/4 tsp white and red pepper , diced green pepper & a tsp of minced garlic . Tasty !

This is a great recipe. I added 1/2 green pepper and substituted 1 more can of tomato sauce for the water. I served it with sour cream, cheddar cheese and green onions. There were no leftovers!
