Just followed this recipe exact, and it made the meat end up tasting sweet. I ended up not using the sauce you make with this recipe because I liked it so little. The meat turned out very tender so I ended up just using Worchestire sauce instead.

Out of this world! I didn't feel like turning on the broiler so I just browned the short ribs on the stovetop before putting them in the slow cooker. It was a hit with everyone and I'd make this recipe again anytime.

I added a 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes in place of the tomato juice and the recipe still cooked down into a rich broth. I would omit the cinnamon and cloves next time to enjoy the full effect of the taste of the short ribs. This is certainly a dinner to make for company! My fiancé was blown away by the taste and tenderness.

This homemade BBQ sauce is so easy. I didn't have time to slow cook the short ribs due to poor planning so instead I did 400F in on convection bake for 2 hours. My husband say 5 stars ... and that's VERY RARE!

Very simple & very good. I'm not a huge short rib fan, but have lots in my freezer. This recipe will help me to use them AND enjoy them. Thanks!

This was a very good recipe - easy to do. I gave it 5 stars for this reason. However, it taught me one thing personally - I don't like beef short ribs. They are a little gamey tasting and very fatty. Maybe I'll try this recipe with pork country ribs next time.
