Bear in mind that this is a crab sandwich, not a lobster sandwich. That said, it would be much better with the flat-sided hot dog buns used to make a "real" Maine lobster roll. Those come in a slab with vertical cuts in the tops. You break the slab apart and end up with rolls that have flat, soft sides. You then butter then and brown them in a fry pan. They are hard to find in many parts of the country.
If you cannot find those, buy large hotdog buns, the kind slit horizontally. Then carefully slice the top crust off, as well as the bottom. Butter the top and bottom, then brown in a fry pan. Fill with the crab mixture. Yummmmmm....
We also prefer to mix the crab with Miracle whip as opposed to "real" mayonnaise, and DH likes a little bit of finely diced onion in his.
