This recipe was easy and delicious! The sauce is amazing, it is the perfect "sweet heat". I followed the recipe exactly except I used smoked paprika and chipotle chili pepper, and tripled the Jack Daniels. I also would like to try next time to use oven bags instead of foil - I thought I was very careful in wrapping them up but still they leaked on the cookie sheet. Only flaw/bonus is that the recipe made a lot of sauce...and it is so good that I am going to try it on some chicken and veggie burgers next so I can use it all up! This recipe should be double-posted as a BBQ sauce recipe - the best I have ever had - I didn't think it was tomatoey at all actually. Definitely will make again!

This is just for the sauce. The sauce was very tomatoey. It did have a zing to it. I made it on steaks. I will try a different BBQ sauce recipe.

I thought the ribs were good but not as impressed as others seem to be. I still prefer Big Als bbq sauce(AR) over this one. This one was just way to sweet and not tangy enough for my taste. I followed the recipe EXACTLY but found myself adding more vinegar as it simmered. I will not make this again only cause I LOVE 'Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce' over this one.

YUM! These were amazing! I have never made ribs or my own BBQ sauce before, and these were definitely a hit. I skipped the whiskey because I didn't have it, and the sauce was great anyway. This recipe's a keeper!

Best ribs I've ever had. I used side ribs, so I cooked them in the oven a little bit longer. This sauce was so tasty. I will definitely use this recipe again.

This was awesome! I still prefer my own altered "Texas Pork Ribs" but this still had a great taste.

The homemade bbq sauce for the ribs was wonderful! Everything turned out perfect. The ribs fell right off the bones and were just as good as any you get in a restaurant! Thanks for the recipe!

The sauce for these ribs is fantastic and very flavorful. I used one tsp of chipolte chilie pepper instead of the Tbsp called for and the sauce was just right. I think it would have been way too spicy for us with the full amount. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Yummy ribs....

This was my first attempt at making ribs. Delicious, tender, and excellent sauce! I didn't have any mollassas on hand, and the sauce still tasted great.

Excellent flavor and the slow baking in oven keeps the inside very juicy. Grilling with the sauce at the end seals the deal. I used a bottle of beer (Newcastle Brown Ale) instead of whiskey.

We absolutely loved this recipe and feel fortunate to have found it! The ribs turned out perfect. We made and used the sauce that's included in this recipe and actually preferred it over Stubb's Original BBQ Sauce, which surprised us. We can't wait to make this recipe again for friends and family to show it off. I'm uploading a photo for everyone to see. I can't recommend this recipe enough.

This is by far the best barbecue sauce I've ever made! I already had the ribs down I just needed a great sauce to finish them off...you will not be disappointed. We used it on ribs and chicken and everybody loved it!!! Thanks for the recipe Scott, it made our 4th of July cookout a smash!!!

So, my fiance always makes the ribs whenever we BBQ. I really wanted to try this recipe, but he teased me about "leaving the ribs to the men." Needless to say the challenge was issued and during our BBQ on the 4th (30+ people) 6 racks of ribs that I made with this recipe disappeared as soon as they came off the grill - all my man's friends wanted my recipe! Thank you Scott for giving me the victory! lol (I followed the ingredient list exactly, but tripled it and marinated the ribs in it overnight.)
