This is a very sticky dough. I wouldn't recommend trying to knead it. Just drop them on the pan and bake them. However, I thought the scones were very tasty and so did my parents. I will make them again.

They tasted Ok, but not great. I don't really get it because I followed the recipe exactly and ended up with a huge gooey mess. So, like someone else on here wrote, I had to just drop them on and hope for the best. How in the world do you use only as much flour as it says and have a dough you are able to roll out? Maybe there's too much milk, maybe not enough flour....all I know is that this is the first time I have tried to make scones and I was very disappointed with the results. I WILL NOT use this recipe again.

These were very tasty. I used a little garlic seasoning & cheese. I served with the 'Boston Baked Beans' on this site. Yum, Yum :) next time I will use fruit....

This dough was way too sticky to roll out or knead. Maybe I wasn't supposed to use all of the milk/egg mixture? It was a mess.

I make this often for meetings at the office- they rave about them! I divide the dough in half before kneeding, and generously add chocolate chips to one and either dried cranberries and white chocolate or dried blueberries or chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts) to the other half. The only thing I do different than the base recipe is cut them smaller for cooking- it's better for groups of people.

These were good. I made according to thye recipe using skim milk. I also added 1 cup of blackberries. They were really huge and I think next time I would divide dough in half and flatten, making each into 6 wedges(12scones). Also would be prettier if brushed with some milk and sprinkled on sugar before baking.

These tasted really good and were much easier to make than other scone recipes I looked at. The only problem I had was that the dough was so sticky I couldn't really get cut them into wedges. I will make them again though.

This was a great recipe! I divided the mix into two rounds and added cinnamon sugar to one half, and a cup of cheese and scallions with a pinch of salt to the other half. I also cut each round into eight wedges, otherwise the wedges would have been too big. They were wonderful!!

they are fine, but not authentic enough for me - i like my scones crusty on the outside and these were very cake-like. However, my in-laws went nutso over them!

The texture on these is so perfect, and they are super easy to make vegan with just egg replacer and earth balance margarine. Every time I make them I add something new, cinnamon and lemon essence, cheese and garlic, etc. and they always turn out lovely.

It's...OK. The dough tastes great, but after it has been baked the scones are really dry and blane. Bluk! Great when dunked into coffee however! But I was looking for something a little more moist, and this one is not it.

These were very good. I added frozen blueberries which made the dough a little harder to work with, but they tasted great.

Very poor recipe. The dough was so mushy needed more flour and sugar than recipe called for. I wouldnt recommend this one.

everyone loved these so much. i even used skim milk only and had no complaints. imagine how great they'd be with whole milk or half and half! i added 2 cups of raisins and it was the perfect amount for the recipe. my family ate them plain, not even warmed up or buttered. i've made them twice in a day already!

Just okay. From all the reviews, I must have not done something right. Maybe didnt cut the butter enough. I like my scones a bit sweeter and a bit drier. These came out pretty doughy. I sprinkled some raw sugar with some cinnamon on top and that part was pretty good.
