Made exactly as written except made them patty shaped by hand and dropped them on a sheet. So good!

the milk was way too much..i ended up having to add a lot of extra flour but they were very yummy! I would recommend half of the milk

I just made these scones, and they were wonderful! I have never had a successful scone recipe before. These turned out great. I followed the recipe exactly, except I put cinnamon chips in half of the dough and mini peanut butter cups in the other half. They are great, I highly recommend them to everyone.

I never made scones before and just love the ones at the coffee shop. This is a very easy recipe and holds its own against the ones the pros make. I made mine with dried apricots and cinamon the first time and just cinnamon the second. This is a favorite.

I have done many different things to this recipe and they all turned out great. One thing I did was add 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the mixture then stirred in 1 cup of cinnamon baking chips.GREAT!!! Another twist was to substitute brown sugar for the white sugar, then stirred in 1 1/2 cups of toffee bits. Then I cut into mini scones to make them more bite size. AWESOME!! Will continue to use this recipe over and over agian!!!

This is a great basic recipe for scones! I added 1/2 cup chopped, dried apricots, and they turned out perfect! Not too dry, and the perfect level of sweetness!

Very good and easy recipe! Following everyone's advice I decreased the milk (only adding enough to get the consistency I felt was good) and I added some cinnamon and nutmeg. Also, for me, baking time was more like 22 mins...

I love this recipe and it I get major compliments every time I make them. I add frozen bluberries or dried cranberries to the mix for added yumminess. Today I substituted the milk with orange juice and added dried cranberries. Delicious!! Probably my best scone yet. I also add a little bit of cinnamon to the recipe. I just do drop scones to cut down on time and the recipe is great as is if you're not kneading and cutting into wedges. I'd say the dough is a little sticky for that.

People! These scones are absolutely perfect and that is coming from an English Girl like myself... Many people request them and they are so quick to make! People have said that they add ALL the milk mixture! Don't do it! You'll end up with a sloppy mess... just add a little bit until the mixture reaches a good doughy consistency that is firm and can be kneaded well). In true english style eat hot with plenty of cholesterol raising butter and clotted cream and strawberry jam... heaven!

Really lovely scones, although I had to add a lot extra flour to make them doughy enough, otherwise the mixture was too runny.

A good basic scone recipe- I can't have milk while breastfeeding, so I substituted vanilla soymilk and decreased amt to 3/4 cup. I also added chopped up cranberries that I sweetened with Splenda. I made a glaze w/ OJ and powdered sugar and drizzled it on top. I enjoyed them b/c they weren't overly sweet. Thanks!
