Great potato dish. Just like Moms. Used ham bits rather than hotdogs and nixed the parsley. Also, used cheddar for the cheese. Yummy!

This was very good. I did use 5 smoked brat's instead of hot dogs, it worked well with this dish. I used one Tlbs. of dried parsley as I didn't have fesh on hand. As the side dish I served the "Fabulous Fried Cabbage" posted on this site. Comfort food at it's best, try it you'll like it.

My Mom used to make pretty much this recipe, but she cuts the potatoes into squares, and uses chunks of ham instead of hot dogs. I made this exactly as written the first time, and it was pretty darn good. The second time, I cut my potatoes into squares like Mom, doubled up on the potatoes and the cheese mixture. Instead of hot dogs, I cut a turkey ham into bite-size squares. This reminded me of this dish growing up. This recipe is fantastic as-is, or modified. Very, very easy to make. I thought my Mom worked a lot harder in the kitchen than this!!!

It's hard to find a recipe that pleases the whole family and this is one of them! I used cheddar cheese instead of swiss because that's what I had. I'll definitely make this again.

I just loved this recipe! The potatoes came out so tender and the flavor of the sause was perfect...for an extra touch of flavor I used chicken pesto sausage...it was yummy.

Yum, yum and yum again! When I started melting the butter for this recipe I noticed my potatoes had sprouted. So on a whim I used a couple of bags of frozed seasoned tater tots instead. (I doubled the recipe). It turned out really good. My kids loved it and even picky husband said it was pretty good. However, I don't think you need to add the salt if you use the seasoned tater tots. My family was chugging milk through out dinner.

I was informed that my grand kids were coming over for the evening. I do the cooking, so I had to come up with something child frendly. I remembered how much I enjoyed scalloped potatoes when I was a child. so I looked to my trusty recipe resource and wal-a. there it was, thanks for the save you folks are great. everyone loved them and asked for it often now.
