Yummy! The whole family loved this. I used turkey kielbasa and 1/2 cup cheddar and 1/2 cup mozzarella because it was what I had on hand. Next time I'll use swiss - can't wait! Thanks!

An instant classic in our house! I cooked it for the described lengths at 400 degrees convection and it was cooked to perfection. Next time I'm going to add a layer of chopped broccoli. Thanks so much for sharing this yummy recipe!

Not nutritious...but completely DELICIOUS, cheap and easy, so I give this 5 stars! The kids loved it..and used the same sauce to make homemade Mac n' cheese :)

I give this 5 stars because my kids loved it and asked that we make it again. The only subtitution I made was replacing the hot dogs with a 14 oz package of turkey smoked sausage, cut into thin slices.

This was a delicious low fat version (scary, I know) of my mother-in-laws scallops! She uses heavy cream instead of milk. I subbed leftover ham for the Franks (yum yum)light margarine and skipped the swiss to cut calories. It was PDG- pretty darn good!

Nice surprise! I laughed when I saw this and made it because I thought my boyfriend, a huge hot dog lover, would like it. I used cheese hot dogs and mozzerella instead of swiss. Very good!

I help my daughter with her daycare and we have this for lunch sometimes. The children love it and it is one meal that gets all eaten. They ask when we are having it again. This is easy to make and something we can put together in the morning, put in the refrigerator, and put in the oven when it's time.

This is a good recipe, but I made a few changes to it. I use sausage instead of hot dogs. I also use a mixture of cheese, such as smoked Gouda. That is a favorite of my boys and gives the dish a bit of a different taste.

I have made this several times and it always turns out perfectly. The only thing I changed was I omitted the addition of hot dogs.

SMELLED GREAT WHILE COOKING! But, after 1-1/2 hours baking, the potatoes still were not soft. I cooked 1/2 hour longer (while I cooked a 2nd dinner for my family) and then it was dryed out and the potatoes were just barely soft. I added milk & some cheese & stirred through but it just wasn't right. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS THAT SAID TO PRE-COOK THE POTATOES BEFORE ASSEMBLING!

My picky two year old loved this. My husband (who never comments on my food) said this was very good. I saved some time by increasing the temp to 375 and cooking for 1 hour. I also used cheddar cheese instead and sprinkled some on top after it was done cooking. Excellent recipe!

I can't believe I am giving 5 stars to a recipe for potatoes and hot dogs, but this was delicious. I doubled the recipe in a 9x13 dish using a couple of bags of diced potatoes and onions I had in the fridge. My family devoured this! It seems like too much hot dog when you're assembling it, but it's the perfect amount. Thanks to this recipe, my son's 10 yr old friend thinks I'm a gourmet chef :)

Very good & easy! I have also made it with ham, but honestly, we prefer the flavor better with the hot dogs. My mom made something like this when I was growing up, but it pales in comparison!

Just a tad on the greasy side, but I suppose I should have expected that! Wasn't exactly going for a low-fat recipe. My husband asked me to make this, and he really liked it.

This is my first time reviewing, and I picked this recipe because it was fantastic! I made a few modifications when I made it though. I used smoked sausage (eckrich in the 2 pack) and I used 1 cup swiss cheese, and 1/4 cup cheddar. It was unbelievable! Thanks for the recipe! Update: I've been making this recipe for two years now, and it is STILL my fav from this site after trying over 100 recipes! I only make it with my modifications that I listed though. We slice our potatoes paper thin(which is a good job for the hubby to do while I make the sauce) and using the Eckrich skinless sausage makes this a very versatile dish. You can make it as a side for dinner, and then reheat it for breakfast with a side of scrambled eggs! My family devours this and I've been asked for the recipe many times! Oh, you can also make this exactly as written and not add any meat at all and just have scalloped potatoes. it's a terrific plain scalloped potato recipe too! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!
