Perfect I didn't change a thing in this recipe, only I added cheddar cheese on top for the last few minutes uncovered, just because I love all things cheese. A+++

Dish turned out exactly as I expected. Followed the recipe exactly except I did sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top when I took it out of the oven. I think this would be a nice base sauce for mac and cheese. Thanks for sharing!

I had to doctor these up quite a bit to avoid a bland dish (based on how the sauce tasted before adding it to the potatoes). I added more salt, cayenne, garlic powder, and dijon mustard. With those changes, it was pretty good, but I did miss the milk. It had a great, creamy texture, but something about the flavor was not quite right. I'll probably make this again, though, because I'm not supposed to be eating dairy these days (sad). It's a solid dish, but didn't impress me.

I was VERY disappinted with this recipe. Scallopwd potatoes need milk! I should have known from the ingredients! But, I waired two hours to find out for sure. My mistake for even trying this one!

Way too easy! Delicious! I do use my mandolin slicer for both the potatoes and onions, just in case I have better things to do than cook! LOL

Very good. Followed recipe ingredients but made the broth/sauce in the microwave instead of pan. Next time I may add shredded cheddar on top for last 10 minutes.

I used to always make the boxed scalloped potatoes because I haven't found a great recipe until now. These potatoes are excellent! They are creamy and perfect. I used spanish paprika and I loved the flavors!

This is good every time. I've started layering in cheddar cheese and adding french fried onions to top of potatoes and cooking uncovered for last 10 minutes of cook time. Delectable!

Really good. It does need salt though. Next time I'll add cheddar cheese, more pepper, and salt.

Scalloped potatoes without milk, way cool. I made them according to the recipe, using water mixed with "better than chicken" bouillon base for the chicken broth. This potato recipe is inexpensive and very tasty! I read where folks add cheese, isn't that potatoes au gratin? Want more flavor? toss in some herbs. I served these potatoes as a side with Lemon and Herb Roasted Chicken (this site) and steamed fresh carrots. Next time I make the potatoes, I will omit the salt if I use the bouillion stuff. Delicious. (Updating: I didn't care for the leftovers the next day. Next time I'll make only what I can eat that night).

wonderful - so tasty. didn't need salt because of the chicken broth. Changes I made: sauteed onion with the butter, then added flour. Also added cheese to the sauce and then over top. I got talking too much and left these potatoes in for longer and they were still great (lucky lid was on)so they may not need as much as two hours but overdoing them is okay too.

I made these for 10 servings, using the Allrecipes Calculator. They turned out perfectly!! The only thing is that when I changed the servings, it said to use 1 & 1/4 tsp salt...when I tried the sauce before I poured it on top, it was salty. However, when the potatoes were done, they were perfect!! (I just didn't put any salt & pepper on top on my own plate). Very good recipe!!
