I used 1 lb. ground beef (seasoned with salt and pepper, chopped celery (2 stalks) and onion (1 med.) and regular cooked wild rice (2 cups cooked), as it was all I had. Also, used a can of cream of celery soup and half a can of evaporated milk. Creamy and so yummy!

This was wonderful with ground chicken. As ground chicken can be bland, I added extra spices and seasonings. The family devoured it and only left enough extra for 2 small lunch servings.

Made this for Thanksgiving and will do so for Christmas. Doubled it for a crowd except the mushrooms, and chopped up the water chestnuts. Everyone liked it. A dish that can be made ahead and the flavors improve. Very easy to throw together. Keeping this one.
