Savory Herb Pork Roast with Gravy Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 1)

This was a very nice recipe, but to make it a meal in one, and this is for just the two of us, I used 1# pork roast, floured it and browned it on the stove with 2 cloves of garlic in 1T Butter/1T Olive Oil. The seasoning mix was very nice, but I doubled the pepper. I like pork cooked "low & slow", so I added 1/2 can chicken broth to the baking dish. AND potatoes, carrots and onion. Then I baked at 300 for 2 hours or until pork is to temp and vegetables are tender but not soggy. I cheated and used canned pork gravy with some of the pan drippings whisked in while heating for a more homemade taste. Served it with the gravy on the side, some rolls and a simple salad and it was a very easy, healthy and satisfying meal. I will definately make this a part of my meal list of favorites.

Worked great! I had a 2.5 lbs roast, so I adjusted the cook time a little bit. I don't know why the other reviewer rated it so low, besides the fact that he/she didn't read the cooking directions properly. This is now a recurring recipe in our house!

I got a 2.68 lb roast, cooked it for 30 minutes and it was still way too underdone to eat. The seasonings smelled wonderful, but can't give this one a good rating.
