Loved the flavor, very juicy, I just burnt the edges a little on the grill because i wanted to cook it a little longer. But all and all great recipe!

I thought this was excellent, but it was too tangy for hubby so I used the leftovers on top of a salad one day for lunch and for a steak & cheese sandwich the next. I let it marinate for 2 days and left out the liquid smoke because I couldn't find it. I would definately use this again, so thanks!

OMG!! I have made this marinade for a full tenderloin twice and I have been told by everybody that it was the best tenderlion they have ever had. I make it just as is... except I do add alot more garlic and I added dried thyme (tastes so great with steak). I just add a dash of the cayanne. I was going to leave out the liquid smoke, but added it just to see, and I have to say it truly rounds out the flavors in this. It is not too noticable. You are missing out by not adding it. I doubled this recipe for the full tenderloin, I also poured some marinade in the pan while cooking. Also, balsamic vinegar is sooo smooth, and it does not leave a bite at all. This marinade did not taste bitter at all to me. Balsamic vinegar is a must! No substitutions! It is now my signature tenderloin recipe and I am making it tomorrow for my sisters birthday dinner. She said she daydreams about this! LOL. Awesome recipe! Thanks!

These were good, very flavorful. I added a few extra spices and accidentally over cooked them on the GF Grill. Still tender =0) I only got to marinade for 1 hour. I think the vinegar was a little too strong for our tastes; next time I'll just reduce it. Also I'll try marinating the recommended time. Thanks for the post!!!

This is good, the marinate smells so yummy but the taste is a little disappointing. I was expecting a better flavor. The steak is very tender though and I marinated it for 24h.

My boyfriend gave it 3 stars but i give it 5 so i averaged the 2. I LOVED the flavor and I marinated it for an hour on the counter in an air tight container and it was plenty of time to bring out the flavor. The boy doesn't eat steak with marinade which is why he gave it such a low rating. I didn't have the vinegar or enough garlic...i added some garlic powder as i only had about 1 tbsp of minced and added a tsp of powder. Delicious! Will definately use again(for myself at least :p)

Very good flavour! I tried this with moose steaks, marinated only 4 hours but had great results. Will try a longer marinade next time. We really liked the pepper/honey combo.

Fantastic marinade! If you love steak you'll love it even more with this marinade. I eliminated the liquid smoke & cayenne pepper because I didn't have any - but didn't miss it.

Followed the recipe and came out with incredibly flavorful, tender Strip loin steaks! Put the marinade in a zip-lock bag, mixed the marinade in a bowl and poured over the steaks in the bag. Let the bag sit for 2 days (while turning it from time to time). Seeing it's autumn, did them in a very hot iron skillet to sear (1 min each side) and then 2-3 min in same skillet in the oven at 350. HIGHLY recommended.
