By far the best marinade I've ever had. I made two 1 lb steaks (doubled the recipe) and my fiance and I both ate the whole steaks (along with the mashed potatoes with fried onions and mushrooms from this site - awesome!)

I rate my dishes not just by my own taste but by the reactions of those I cook for. I made four servings (2 1-inch rib eyes about 0.8 lb each) last night so that my boyfriend and I would have leftovers for lunch. As we ate, I saw him eyeing my plate. As soon as he finished his, he reached over, grabbed the half I left for lunch, and finished that too. Lunch, dinner gone. How I prepared it: marinated overnight, no cayenne or liquid smoke, broiled for 5 minutes each side for medium. A definite keeper - the steak and the bf! :)

I did not like the recipe as it was, but here's how I took it from a 3 star to a 5 star that works for beef or pork! Leave out: honey, balsamic vinegar. A little less Worcestershire and liquid smoke. Add 1/4 cup red wine vinegar, 1 can beef broth, 1.5-2 times the soy sauce, a total of 6 full tbsp minced garlic. Follow the rest of the recipe and season to taste. If the marinade tastes yummy and salty before you put the meat in, it'll taste wonderful after marinating for a day or two. I've even gone three days if needed. Thanks for the base recipe!

Very flavorful and tender. There was something about this recipe that was really great. I think it was the balsamic vinegar. However, there was another flavor or two that I didn't care for as much. But this recipe is good and I'll definitely cook it again ... although I will probably play around with it some.

Maybe it's just me, but I found nothing special about this marinade. I will not make again; this site has so many that are much better.

Great Marinate, I didn't marinate for the 1-2 days....just didn't have time. I did marinate for 1-2 hrs and it still was good

This marinade is phenomenal! I would give it 10 stars, if I could. I followed the recipe exactly. I have marinated my steaks for as little as a couple hours to overnight. The outcome is always so flavorful and tender.

I did not like this and I will be removing it from my recipe box. I gave it 3 stars because my husband thought it was ok. Too strong of flavors - I guess I don't like soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce very much.

This was great. I think this marinade would be good on a variety of different steaks, although the prime rib-eye made for a special treat. We marinated for over a day and the meat was so tender. I didn't even need steak sauce.

I personally enjoyed this marinade although my husband wasn't as fond. Marinated two NY Strips for around 8 hours. Delicious...Definitely rich in flavor.

This marinade was absolutely amazing! Although I did not have the time to marinate my steaks overnight (only managed to marinate for 4 hours) once I barbequed them on my grill they tasted like heaven. The only thing I changed is the amount of crushed garlic (I used only 1 tablespoon). Will definitely do it again!

THIS WAS FANTASTIC!!!! I made this for a dinner party with friends and everyone raved. Made it true to recipe except didn't have onion powder so i chopped some shallots instead. Flavor was WONDERFUL! I made this with Roasted Asparagus and Mushrooms and Garlic Herbed Mashed potatoes. One of the best dinners I have ever made.

Delicious! The steaks were packed with flavor and with every bite an explosion of flavor occured, from the sweetness of the balsamic vinegar, to the saltiness of the soy sauce! The meat was a bit tough, I am not sure whether it was due to the cut or the marinade. Will try a different cut next time. I grilled 6 steaks for 3 people and had no leftovers! A major hit :)

Wow! This marinade is fabulous. Both my husband and I love bold flavors and this definatly was bold! I used really cheap steaks because of the strong marinade and it made them absolutely wonderful! I put the steaks atop a pile of grilled potatoes and it was a really nice little meal!

We loved this recipe. Used London Broil and left out the balsamic vinegar as I wasn't sure how old mine was. Only marinated about an hour and it was still really tasty!
