This was an OK marinade, but I thought it overpowered the steak flavor. Maybe it would be good for someone who isn't crazy about steak.

This is perfect as is and most kitchens would have all ingredients. The only thing I did was eliminated the salt completely as I felt the soy sauce would provide enough sodium. This is definitely a keeper!

These were great! Made exactly as Angie wrote! Would not change a thing. served with corn on the cob, garlic bread, and ranch/bacon pasta. My husband and children raved about what a good dinner I had made :)

I have used this recipe again and again. I use smoked salt instead of liquid smoke but this recipe is an ace in the hole. If you don't like it salty try a low sodium soy sauce. I've never done it because we like our food a little salty but I might if I made this for company. And I think this could also be a crowd pleaser.

Wow! Fantastic flavor and so tender even though I only had time to marinate overnight. We can't wait to have these steaks again!

This definetly had a good flavor but it is one that you would have to really be in the mood for. If your looking for just a good steak marinade I wouldn't recommend. However, if your looking for something a little different this is easy and tasty.

This steak was ok. I found the balsamic vinegar to be a bit to harsh and overpowering. Next time I will only use half the amount. I did enjoy how the steak stayed very moist and did not dry out.

Yum! This was really good. We only had about an hour to marinate the 2 NY strip steaks that we had but they still turned out delicious. Broiled them for about 10 minutes. I will definitely use this recipe the next time I marinate steak!

I made the marinade exactly as written, and marinated a 1.5 lb top sirloin for about 3 hrs. I then broiled it (I don't remember how long.) The meat was very tender, but the balsamic flavor was overwhelming (and I'm a big fan of balsamic.) If I were to make it again, would definitely halve (at least) the vinegar.

Holy Moly!! I made this for my husband's bday dinner and he said it was part of the best dinner he has ever had! I was very happy :) I served it with the Gourmet Mushroom Risotto and Garlic Asparagus. I would definitely suggest this recipe. We have already used it again within the past month.

Not too bad. I marinated it for 6 hours. Used the recipe as written. The steaks were tender, but i would've prefer a more garlicky taste than this. It was a little to sweet tasting. Probably won't use this recipe again!

Making this AGAIN for dinner, and realized I haven't reviewed! I throw everything in a ziploc, marinade my steaks overnight, and usually broil. The only changes I make are to add extra garlic--1tsp powder, and leave out the liquid smoke (DH used to be a restaurant cook and hates the stuff). Such an easy way to spruce up steaks!

Great marinade! I used 2 bacon wrapped filets and was only able to marinate for about 6-7 hours. I had some shrimp that needed to be used up so I threw them in the marinade as well. Yum! The flavors worked very well together. I cooked this in the skillet and the meat turned out so tender. Can't wait to try this out on the grill once the weather gets warmer!

These were amazing! I poked the meat and then rubbed the marinade in and let them sit for about 1 1/2 days. Excellent flavor! Highly recommended.
