Great flavor! My only mistake was marinating 2 (1lb each) ribeyes for 2 days. Was a bit too flavored. Next time, we'll marinate for about 4 hours or so.

Yum, I finally found a tasty marinade for my steaks! I used this on rib eye and porterhouse steaks and it was great. I did use apple cider vinegar bc it was all I had but I cut the amount I used in half and like others, added a bit more honey. Tastes great and very simple!

Very good marinade. I used two large rib eye steaks and marinated for 24 hours. Next time I will let it go for 48 hours. Also, I saved the marinade, and cooked it down with some wine, and it was an EXCELLENT sauce.

These were great. I did not have Rib-eye so I used what I had. They reminded me of peppered beef jerkey and we love those.

We only had an hour to marinate our T-bones, but it still tasted delicious. I can't wait to try this and marinate for at least 24 hours. I bought good quality beef, so it was tender and as if we went to a restaurant. Even though we had an hour to marinate, we could taste the wonderful combination of flavors.

I thought this was amazing! I used it to marinade some steak pieces for shishkebobs and it was perfect. I left out the extra salt and didn't have any liquid smoke, but it was perfect. I will definitely make this again. A lot!

We made this on the 4th of July and it was great! We did not have any liquid smoke, so we left it out. We used wood chips on the grill, instead. We, also, did not marinate for 2 days. We marinated in a food saver canister for about 8 hours.

I tried this last night with some rib-eye steaks we picked up from an organic butcher and no-joke, this was easily the best tasting steak, I've ever had. The marinade was also quite easy, I unfortunately did not have the soy sauce on hand (so I skipped it) or the onion powder and just substituted with garlic salt. Also instead of marinating this for the 2 days the recipe calls for, I took the recommendation of another reviewer and microwaved the marinade for a minute and then doused the steaks with it and let it sit for an hour at room temperature. The steaks came out fantastically - this recipe is a keeper!

This recipe is great just the way its written. I didn't have any liquid smoke but think it would make it even a little better. We did 2, large sirloin steaks & still had plenty of marinade. Other reviews are right, its restaurant quality.

This was absolutely wonderful! The only thing I omitted was the salt...I felt the soy sauce had enough salt flavor. It was great! I will make this marinade everytime I grill steaks now!

I made this for father's day dinner. I followed the recipe exactly except I did not save any for basting. I let marinate for 2 days and all I can say is: HOLY COW! My company was RAVING, saying it was better than going to a restaurant - which I take as a HUGE compliment. I was also told this is by far the best dinner I've ever made. I also made (all from this site): yummy honey chicken kabobs, marinated shrimp, spinach and strawberry salad and alyson's broccoli salad.. all a huge hit. Even my picky kids gobbled it up!
