As other users suggested, I added some sour cream to the sauce mixture, used stuffing with melted butter in lieu of the breadcrumbs, and added canned drained mushrooms. Excellent, moist and juicy and a crowd pleaser, What a snap. With alterations I'd give it a 5 star. A keeper.

This recipe was great. I did make a few changes. I added some sliced mushrooms and I seasoned with salt and just a pinch of oregano in addition to the pepper. I also added garlic. Other than that, it was great! I will make this again.

This was so wonderful! I had to make a few changes because I didn't have some of the ingredients on hand. I used shredded Cheddar cheese instead of Swiss, and crushed Ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs. I then added some canned mushroom to the sauce. This chicken turned out so tender, I could cut it with a fork. Wonderful recipe! Thanks so much.

This recipe initially sounded like it would be rather bland, but after reading the reviews I decided to try it and I'm glad I did. I was completely surprised at how good this was. With all due respect to the originator of the recipe, I made a few changes. I liberally seasoned the chicken with sage, thyme, paprika, rosemary, salt and marjoram. (Without the strong seasoning, it might have been a little bland.) I used Campbell's "Healthy Request" cream of chicken soup and "skim plus" milk to cut fat. Finally, I substituted herb seasoned stuffing, crushed, for the breadcrumbs, and mixed the stuffing crumbs with the butter before topping the chicken. The recipe came out incredibly flavorful and juicy and the stuffing topping was crunchy and delicious. This was a bit hit with the family. Oh yeah - and this recipe was really FAST and not that messy to prepare. Thanks!

At work we call this "the recipe" which means we cook this for every special occasion luncheon for a crowd. We use Pepperidge Farm Seasoned Dressing (not the cubed version) instead of bread crumbs for the topping. Adds a more savory flavor and more eye appeal.

I liked this because it was simple and relatively fast. As fast as chicken can be and still be moist anyway. I substituted sour cream in for the milk and used stuffing instead of bread crumbs. I also used a bit too much pepper and I wouldn't use garlic salt on the chicken... it came out a bit saltier than disired. I will also use poultry seasoning again. Gave it a nice touch.

This would certainly be bland made as is. I subbed stuffing mix for the bread crumbs, sprinkled the chicken with poultry seasoning and added half a bag of frozen veggies to the pan. Next time I think I will add some garlic powder to the soup mixture. Quick and easy, ideal for weeknight.

This was a simple dish to prepare and turned out very tasty. Good comfort food and uses things usually on hand in the pantry, so no special trips to the store. I added a little extra melted margarine since it seemed so dry before I baked it and glad I did or I can't imagine what it would have been like before. This would benefit from a pinch of poultry seasoning, but this was decent on it's on as written. Thanks, Lori, we enjoyed a nice chicken dinner tonight.

This is one of our favorite all-time chicken recipes. So tasty and easy to make! I highly recommend substituting stuffing (like Stove Top) in place of the bread crumbs. Also, I tried one of the other reviewer's suggestions -- using sour cream instead of milk. It turned out great!

Although I made some minor changes out of necessity, these are delicious! I had to substitute Cream of Mushroom since that's all I had, but it went great with the Swiss cheese! I took a couple of others advice and seasoned with pepper, Seasoned salt, garlic powder and Poultry seasonings before adding the cheese and soup mixture. When it was time to bake uncovered, I sprinkled generously with Parmesian cheese. It was absolutely delicious! Since I only used three chicken breasts, I cut reduced the bread crumbs by half but it made an almost stuffing consistency, which just added to the already great taste. I lightly sprinkled with fresh lemon right before serving. Thanks so much for sharing this great (and easy) recipe!

I hate chicken breasts unless its grilled. And the winter months prohibit me from the grill =(. So I am always looking for great chicken breasts recipes. This was one was pretty good. The only thing is I did season the chicken breast a little more and decided to take the advice of melting the butter and mixing it with the bread crumbs and then topping the chicken with it. All in all the chicken was EXTREMELEY MOIST and very tasty, great recipe to experiment with.
