Savory Apple Pork Chops

"I was playing around in my kitchen one day and discovered two lonely apples in my refrigerator. I hate having food go to waste, so I decided to use them on my pork chops. Well, my husband just loved them, and the recipe was so quick and easy. Enjoy!"

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 apples, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place pork chops in a foil lined 9x9 inch baking dish and season with salt and pepper to taste. Arrange the sliced apples over and around the chops and brush all liberally with the ketchup. Then sprinkle with the brown sugar.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 to 45 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
