I loved this- so tasty and easy! I subbed one TBS of butter for oil. Loved eating the sauteed garlic with the asparagus. Good recipe to have on hand.

I think next time I will try leaving them uncovered, as they were soggy instead of crisp as I could have liked. Good flavor, but soggy and stringy. I will definitely try it again uncovered. The flavors were great. Update: this time I followed some tips and cooked them for only 7 minutes. I still covered them. They were perfect.

Awesome! This is how I usually prepare asparagus. Fast and easy! I didn't have fresh garlic so I used minced - still very tasty. Also, I usually top it off with Kraft's grated 3 cheese blend. Wow! Of course, remember that the skinnier the asparagus stalks the better! They're nice and tender crisp.

This is the best asparagus I've ever had! I did add a little balsamic vinegar and thought it was great. Great recipe - good, fast, and easy!

I used Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and maybe I should have used plain Olive Oil instead since I think it doesn't burn as fast. My garlic started to burn before my asparagus was done. This is a good recipe and very easy, therefore, it's a keeper. My family doesn't like asparagus but it's my favorite and I always saute it like this. Fast, easy and delicious!

I made this as a side to pasta and salad and it looked and tasted great. ALTERATIONS: I added a little salt and lemon juice midway through cooking for a little zing. ADVICE: Be careful not to overcook - I agree, 7 or 8 minutes is probably adequate otherwise can go a bit squishy!

easy and tasty way to prepare asparagus. I like the change from steamed. However, a tip when you saute asparagus that wasn't mentioned in the recipe - the smaller (thinner) the stalk the better it is for sauteing. Larger stalks are better suited for steaming. And 10 minutes I found much too long, since the butter needs to heat up quite high to saute I think 10 minutes would of burned it or the garlic. I sauted for 5 minutes.

So simple, yet so delicious! I never would have thought to prepare my asparagus this way, but it's much better than just steaming it!

Flavorful without swamping the asparagus taste. I only used 2 tsbp. margarine and cooked it for only about 5 minutes. I also added some salt and pepper which turned out great. Will definitely make this recipe again. Thanks!

This is a great side dish. Just the right flavor, I did use a splash of lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. It did the trick for me and my dinner guest. Everybody’s plate was clean and so was the serving plate it was on. Thanks Dartanyun.
