Perfect for a holiday dish or anytime dessert or even a Tea Gathering. Good job, Renae!

I used Granny Smith Apples and regular raisens because this is what I had. The dish was wonderful and everyone loved it.

This may be considered a breakfast food item, but I enjoyed it very much as a dinner side with soup. I used the entire amount of brown sugar and didn't think it was too sweet. Maybe the type of apples used makes the difference. And I used dark raisins and I think that using craisins as someone suggested would be nice, too. I like cinnamon and added about 1/4 tsp.

Very easy to make. I think I would use a different type of apple or a less ripe apple next time though. I used a ripe Cortland apple and it turned out a little mushy. Also followed the other reviewers suggestion to cut amount of sugar in half, plus I left out the raisins, because was serving this in crepes topped with caramel sauce, powdered sugar icing and whipped cream, which was more than enough sugar anyway :)

I really liked this--but cut the sugar in half--1/4 c. was plenty!

Really liked this one. I exchanged Craisins for the raisins.
